So can people on Linux and Windows play on the same servers? Otherwise i don't really see the point. According to the Steam hardware survey, just about 1% of all Steam users run Linux. That's not exactly gonna result in a huge boost in sales from th…

Are you mad? Two 10-res creatures should not be able to devastate dozens of res of equipment in ten seconds. That's what an Onos should be for. We already gain access to bilebomb from the first hive now. You'd have to move it to th… -

Oh god no... do you mean digest, as in devour? Why oh why must UWE solve balance problems by introducing annoying features? I sincerely hope they consider other ways to balance. The Onos just needs a proper buff. No need to piss ma… -

How many hours have you spent in NS2? -

Please do. I'm interested in what you have to say. I'm certainly not trolling. I'm interested in the subject and in your view on this.
As a continuation to my question to you about what you believe this game is actually… -

So you wouldn't want the team that hasn't managed to keep a single tower to lose? That's like saying that you wouldn't want the chess-player with only the king left to lose against an opponent with all of his pieces left. Or like s… -

I did take the ability to change the original curve into consideration when i made my first reply. Regardless of how small a change you would make in the beginning, it would have an enormous impact on many parts of the game. UWE ha… -
At first i thought this was a great idea as it would mean that the less advantageous team would be tougher to beat, and i always appreciate a challenge. It's worse to win easily than it is to lose easily as you learn nothing; it's a waste of time. Y…

Ah, then i guess there's been a misunderstanding. That you can click-and-hold-move the cam while holding C is something most commanders probably learn quick. What i meant with my idea though was to be able to move the camera accura… -

True. But this function could be A) used to move the camera more accurately and in a smooth motion as opposed to the jumping of the arrow keys, and in Very annoying commander hotkey bug! Comment by Robby June 2013 -
This isn't a bug or anything, but now that serious performance improvements are arriving with b249 i wish they'd also add something like a right-click-and-hold function to move the camera by moving the mouse. The casters could really make watching m…

Thanks.
The lags i experience show no reading in the profiler bars, so i want to write one last post in this topic just in case.

I had a feeling you didn't live here. I didn't intend to use the lecture of 4G in Sweden as a mean of reprimanding, rather than to actually inform others of something that a lot of people who usually accuse 4G as the culprit of any connection-proble…

But why do you even have a voting function in place if an accord for a ban is based on number of the times reported as opposed to the solidity of the evidence? It doesn't make any sense to me to let people vote on something that already is absolutel…

And because of that it should be ok? There's people who live and breathe this exploit now and they should be banned as any other cheater. -
While i appreciate the sharing of information on the subject, which may be of use to those who know nothing of it, you're wrong in this case. This is meant without any offense whatsoever, but you seem to be in need of reading up on 4G yourself as yo…

You need to add more report reasons. As English isn't my native language i don't know what it's commonly called, but the exploit where you go into the walls and are able to attack without being attacked as an alien is a good example. That's somethin…

I've spent 500 hours in NS2 split evenly between both teams with at least 100 hours commanding both teams. Played a few dozen gathers with good results.
The final was an entertaining three hours and i want to thank UWE for the show. The fact that the actual high-speed competitive bunnyhopping isn't exactly virally popular anymore, frankly something that i thought was long forgotten i might add, i had no idea that anyone cared an eye-bat about in what circumstances that you used…(Quote)
Well i guess that depends on the player. Some do bunnyhop, as in constantly jumping as they move, like a bunny would if it was chased by a skulk. If bunnyhopping vs skulks no longer worked, balance would drop like a stone, in the aliens' favor.
Bunnyhopping saves an experienced player (which in this case simply means a player who can time the hopping properly) close to 50% of the …This looks like it could also provide an in-game clan system like in SC2. Either way, the work you're doing could really take NS2 to the next level in immersion, fun, competition and even sales.
