My mod is not being made official, sorry if I misworded that; I'm just clarifying how the mod will work with the new official system. There are some changes to the scoreboard spacing that should hopefully help 4:3, but I haven't tested that specific…

Player Badges will be broken by the next patch, but I have the new version ready to publish as soon as 255 comes out.
How will reinforced badges work?
All your old badges will continue to show up and be selectable on the main… -
yes

I don't know how UWE plans on supporting these badges, I think they'll be a steam code. I'll add support to badge mod as soon as they're available in game. Technically I could scrape the forums and do it earlier, but that just seems like a waste of …

Since ENSL badges are currently reserved, there's no way to get them to show up without my intervention. I'm working on a new feature for distributing these properly, so they'll be unattainable until that's complete; sorry about that.
I'll be … -
Rantology has been kind enough to redraw all of the UI in a new style like the NS2 main menu. I'm doing some rearranging of the UI, let me know what you think.
- Resources moved to Upper Right
- Time and Location above minimap
- …

I've been leaving the new alien vision on constantly since the update, and after hours of vomiting and seizures I can safely say that it shouldn't be left on all the time.
-
Updated for 252; let me know if you run into any issues.
Also, a note to all server operators using badge mod: the ensl icons included in the mod were intended for use only by ensl staff. In the future these badges will be given new graphics, … -
DarkVision.hlsl has to be allowed.
-
Updated for 252. It should look almost exactly the same, and will now just be always on. Activating dark vision (flashlight) does nothing at the moment; I'll add something else later.
-
I'm aware it will be broken. There won't be much demand for the mod after the patch though, so I may not update it. We'll see.

Added new server global function for other mods to hook in.
GiveBadge(userId, sBadgeName) returns true on success, false if the badge did not exist.
Will that be good enough? -
With the latest version of the mod you can see all of your server badges on the main menu while connected to the server. If nothing shows up on the main menu, then your admin file is not valid.
Your problem is with Shine; I don't know how Shin… -
I assume you mean your Constellation Badge. There is no way to remove your badge currently; can I ask why you want to get rid of it?
-
How are shine user groups set up? I could add support for loading badges from different systems.
-
Nice! Glad I could help.

The publisher pulls files from the output directory. The path to your crosshair should be "output/ui/crosshairs.dds" for it to get uploaded. Alernatively, redirect output_dir.

What's inside your "mod.settings" file?

Do you guys have any support for mod loading? I am using Sewlek's (now official) Simple Mod Framework to load my scoreboard badge mod, but it does not seem to work with Combat. Do you have an alternative to loading mods or plan to add this functiona…

For those that don't want to use ns2stats for scoreboard badges, I've just released a standalone mod to do this.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile… -
Awesome, thanks. It requires NS2stats to show the badges on the scoreboard. I chose to include the scoreboard display in NS2stats because it already modded the scoreboard and I didn't want to conflict with them. I should release a standalone scorebo…

Can someone please run this on a server for testing? Or if you're running it already let me know how it's working. I want to get this pushed out to the main mod.
-
Edit: After restarting steam the problem went away. Possibly the new EULA wasn't taking effect until after the restart. Thanks, Mendasp.

Player and structures will be multiplied by the same color. If you color the player icons in the monochrome file it will make them different. Colors are near the top of GUIMinimap.lua I believe.
-
Color is set by the code now, yes. The code multiplies the monochrome image by whatever colors are set in the code (which can't be changed). You may still be able to create a similar effect though. Multiplying yellow*blue=green, so if you color the …

(Quote) Woah! You guys made a kid!?

(Quote) There was a bug that the scores would disappear after entering first person spec that I just fixed for last patch. Everything seems to work fine; I'm still stumped.
-
Huh really? Maybe it's just the recording, but it looks to be 480p.
-
Why is the stream so blurry? Is the connection in the studio not capable of a 720p stream or something? I'm also stumped as to why they didn't just use the in-game team names/scores.
-
And your mod folder is named nslite? Everything looks fine to me, but I may be overlooking something.
Andi's simple mod framework was recently included into the main game, so you can try to load your code using it: in Problems creating a Mod Comment by Huze April 2013
