The only problem I have with the balance mod is that it appears to be continuing in the direction of "throw stuff at the game and see what will stick" rather than coming up with a well thought out plan to make NS2 fun and balanced.… -

NS2 is especially vulnerable just because everything runs in Lua. VAC has no chance of ever detecting some of the hacks that are possible. I wouldn't hold out much hope of ever getting any serious anti-cheat measures put in NS2.

It's no fun being forced into a higher lifeform though. No doubt pro lerks can wreck early game marines but that doesn't change anything about the skulk problem.

If you just send in a video they have nothing to put on the blacklist though. I can understand encouraging people to pm the mods or whatever with actual cheat files, but not videos.

So basically nothing will happen then if you do send in conclusive video proof of a cheater, because there are no manual bans. If that is the case then why is evidence even being accepted?

Just out of interest what happens if someone does submit conclusive evidence in the form of a first person video? Are manual VAC bans even possible? I doubt it.
