Are Gorge Fortresses Morally Right?

Its a tuff question to figure
Your down to your last hive, The the terret factorys nearly up and a heavie train is marching your way. you know you can't win the fight so as a skulk with some spare res you scurry up a vent somewhere and find a small place to throw togther as many DCs as you can before the end. then of course the hive goes down and then beggings the search for the fortress gorges that are hid away in some far off vent.
now the question is is that right or is that wrong? while its fun to play fortress and see how many JPers you can spit kill but on the other hand it drags out the game and isn't much fun for the rest of the alien team you left to die and rot at the hive.
I just want your opion on the matter of gorge fortresses and what you think about them.

It's both
Why it's morally good : Marines can do it why can't we?
Why it's morally bad : Prolong the game ololololol
Together with SCs,MCs and DCs, you could say that will prolong the game for who knows how long....
NOW ITS NOT.
It's just a matter of ettiquette and plus some survivalist fun factor.
Besides, some servers just end the game when the hive and all but ONE player is left.
A gorge fortress takes less than two minutes to kill.
My best times as a losing marine at the end of the game was to recycle everything but the armory and arms lab, then drop a bunch of shotguns for the remaining marines. It's entertaining to see how many fades and onos we can take down before they kill the last one of us; and it only takes about 2 minutes to end the game.
aaahhahahah thats gold
No we can't agree. Its wrong in both cases. Why? Because it bores me and in the end ns is all about me.
It doesn't really have anything to do with morals, but laming up to prolong the game(For either side) is stupid and completely counter-productive. It's not really a problem at all with hidden DC farms though. Find the gorge by his healing sounds(no hives = constantly healing) and/or MT, and use siege/GLs/JPs to flush it out. Game over. I just wish aliens could do something like that about marines. No amount of laming can save a doomed alien team from marine sieges, but cracking a well defended marine base is absolute hell regardless of how much map control you have.
turrets - turrents - terrets (soon terrents ?)

I don't care if the other players are laughing, IF i had admin i would slay you right away.
Those chambers and yourself might have tipped the balance defending the last hive, but no you crept in a vent and built a fortress, the hive dies and i have to wait for you too die so we can start another game.

admin = slay is the best
The 'ping of death' was introduced for a reason. This reason was to keep single aliens from prolonging the game once it was effectively over. Thus, Gorge fortresses are not acceptable, as well. Server rules may of course vary, but on the base level, your actions are not intended by the devs, the effort of removing the possibility entirely is just not in sensible relation to the problem, especially considering the existence of metamods.
As for the rest of your elaborations; suspension of disbelieve only goes so far. When a single alien player fortresses while his teammates all wait in the limbo because they can't respawn anymore, the whole thing has nothing to do with holding on anymore, it's simply anti-social. Argue as much as you want, but that's what it is: Egoistic.
Without a hive, it's like they have no brain... so how can they think to shoot, heal, or cloak?
I'd like to see gorge webs defuse grenades instead of get blown up by them. If a gorge comes in and webs the area, then there's no GL spammers. Umbra an onos and tear the marine base down.
And Avenger, what's so fun about bunker busting? Seriously. The game feels futile after a half hour of trying to kill marines in base who only have one res node. Having marines who only control three or four nodes against aliens with six nodes and three hives and continue to fight back is fun; having marines who sit in base and make no progress at all, but at least kill a ton of aliens before they eventually get overwhelmed isn't fun at all.
There's a difference between "fighting to then end when you still have a chance to win" and "just trying to survive because you've already lost the game."
Rgr that

ok so when do you not have a chance? as long as theres spit in your mouth and res in your belly you have a chance I've played half life mods for a while now, maybe not as long as some, but I've seen some amazing comebacks from things that I would never have thought could have been pulled off. and if people just give up that easily then whats the piont of playing at all?
