Lead time for server release prior to client?

How much time (roughly) can we mere server ops expect before the full release of the client?

Also, a suggestion... might be a good time now, while we're still ahead of the game, to start compiling a list of the people operating as mirrors for server + client software on the Big Release Day™. Release nightmares for both CS and FLF make it pretty clear that a little organization prior to opening the doors makes life a lot more pleasant.

Yep, MonsE indeed has a huge database of contacts file mirrors, server ops, and things like that. We'll probably give out the files to run a linux server a day before the public download.

Include me in that list of server ops and file mirror type people, if you would.

Hmmm... did you send to rr.org in the past few days? You might have gotten unlucky and sent during the THREE separate outages that Host Rocket has had in that time frame with their mail and web servers.

    /me mutters

    send again to monsieurevil@natural-selection.org
