traceroffset 100
tracerlength 0.45

i guess these are display values for the bullet tracers. seems like you are able to customize them a bit.

I beleive rock is right. It allows you to change the colors and alpha of the bullet tracers.

hrm, depending on how flexible the variables are, you could see where all the bullets are at all times, giving aliens an advantage

it shows you where the tracer bullets are.. this is 1 tracer every 3 bullets... a longer "tracer length" value will make the tracers longer

tracerspeed 4500 = how "fast" the tracers will move, a lower value will give you a bullet time feel.

I've played with these variables before, and they do change the color/speed/etc of the tracers (the yellow/orange streams of light) fired by marine weapons. <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo-->
A few uses are you could modify them to make it look like you are firing energy bullets, if you are into futuristic energy guns and such, or like Delarosa said, you could get a sort of bullet-time effect.
This will not change the speed of bullets, so it's not really abuseable, unless you want to see where marines have been shooting recently by turning the speeds way down.
