<div class="IPBDescription">play certain musics when u are marine..</div> Lately, i found some nice musics to addon to my music dir in ns. those musics are either very marine-style or alien-style (i know my english sux)

Is there any way to let NS play certain musics when u are in marine or in alien....

eg: if i am alien, ns will play mp3s with files starting with alien_XXX.mp3
or if i am marine, it will play mp3s with files starting with marine_XXX.mp3

i need some help here.. does ns support it ?? if yes, how must i script it ?? <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I'd like to know that too.

    And you're english is fine. I wouldn't know if you hadn't said anything.

    I reccomend using like winamp to play music while playing games. Then all you have to do is make 2 playlists, one with the aliens songs, other with marine songs. Then depending which team you join, you just minimize steam and pick the appropriate playlist.

    Also, don't worry about your english. Your english is quite good considering some of the people on the forums.

Was wondering if it is possible to script in some autoexec file to let NS determine the files to play by checking the race you are in.

    If your using Winamp 5, or 2 and your comp can handle the step up to ver 5, you can have the privlage of no more minimizing.

    With 5's global hotkeys feature you can make use of Winamp without having it selected, granted you'll have to do it from 1 playlist, but I think you can manage.

    I think the point we're trying to get across is why go through the trouble of getting a script to tell which team your on, when you can do it yourself?
    If you can get one, more power to ya, but I think low-tech solutions will do you well.

    P.S. Just out of curiosity, what kind of music do you have that are alien/marine styled?

    There is a way to control winamp with NS console commands -
    HLAMP: <a href='http://www.hlamp.com/downloads.php' target='_blank'>http://www.hlamp.com/downloads.php</a>

    With this program you can bind a key for next song, list, stop, play, volume and whatever.

    The built in command menu supports differentiated teams, so making two instances of HLAmp to play based on your team would be pretty easy..
