[mconreq] Model Concept Request

<div class="IPBDescription">gonna try and make new alien models</div> I have just gone from "how do i get this box the right shape" to "i can make stuff" in MS3D so i want some concepts i can work on after i run through a few more tutorials.

I seen lots of gun concepts but very little alien concepts or even alien models so thats what i'm looking for.

I want these aliens to:

1: Fit the original hotboxes
2: Not be out of a movie like most of the alien models out there
3: Not look <u>too</u> similar to the current aliens
4: Match up to all the alien attacks (if it doesn't look like it can leap don't make it a skulk)
5: I am not intending on making any funny models
6: not be extremely detailed unless it can go into a skin (I am new to modelling)

The current aliens are mammal based so a suggestion would be to make them reptillian (entirely up to anyone who's gonna make a concept).

If anyone actually posts concepts and someone else wants to model some they can, my main concern is getting these alien models made and thats why i am learning modelling.

    When making aliens think of these things:

    -Be original

    -like you said make the hit boxes work out for YOU

    -give new and intresting animations

    -give them a more real bio look such as things moving on there bodies, I mean have you seen there hives, whole damn place looks alive

    -If your going to make new player models make sure you have new v-models or be ready for flames.

    how about some of the Tyranids i know they aint orgininal but... they are beatfully designed and fit most of the current aliens postitions very well IMHO!

    Yeah they do fit the hitboxes and have similar abilities especially that skulk one, but they like have guns and body armour and look semi-intelligent not really like the normal aliens in ns.

    Looking for more different creatures than different races if you know what i mean.

    I'll look through the design new alien thread since last time i checked it was only a few pages long.

    well if u think about it the guns do kind of fit in, take for instance the Fade concept that concept cud use the gun instead of the acid rocket laucher when you play NS. And for the lerk you cud make the gun smaller and turn it into the spore cannon.

    They dont have to be 100% right tweaking is the key!

    IMO the fade should be a tyrant guard or tyranid warrior, not a hive tyrant.

    I know the gun would work as a acid rocket launcher, but the way i see it is ns is technology vs evolution. The marines have technology, and the aliens have their attacks they have developed through evolution.

    So no things with guns as aliens.

    But for the ones of those which match up and don't have guns can you get a clearer/larger pic for me?

    As for the lictor, i reckon <a href='http://uk.games-workshop.com/40kuniverse/citadelminiatures/Tyranids/Tyranids_Fast_Attack/Ravener.htm' target='_blank'>Ravener</a> is better as a fade.

    Anyways, was looking more for concepts than these figurine things which i might use anyways but they're a bit too detailed and i don't really give a stuff about WarHammer 40k even though they got so many things that could go into ns really well.

    I'll post in the artwork forum and see what people can come up with.
