New Game

<div class="IPBDescription">Pass it on 2</div> Well, since the old game died after the forum crash, I figured that I would start a new one.

I will start with one room which will be added on to by the first person in the cycle, then the next person will take over and so on...

Rules

1) Only sign up if you plan to stick with it.
2) You will have 48 hours to complete your part.
3) The map must be in .map format (no .rmf)
4) Only one room per mapper
5) leave a holes at least 128x128 units for the next mapper to connect his/her part. (can be bigger if it suits your part)
6) Try to stick to the style layed out in the 1st room

Tips

* Make prefabs and put them in the prefabs folder on my server.
* Use prefabs from other mappers.
* Stay with the deadline, if you don't, it screws everything up (Trust me on this)
* Think about where you place rooms and the function of each room. (Ex: What would be a good Hive room, will there be a double res and if so, where will it be?)

Sign ups start now and will end this Sunday at 8:00 pm EST (-6 hrs GMT)

...To post a number between 1 and 100. (for selection purposes)
...To PM me with an e-mail address that I can contact you at.
...Post a link to any mapping experiance you have had before.
...How long you have been mapping.

    how longive been mapping: i dont know i stared off in qoole a long time ago i would say between 5-6 years or so.

    special request: i won't be any where near a PC between the 11th and 21st. so, can i get bumped back if the number you are thinking of is 3?

    Ok, so far, there is 2. This thing needs a few more people, like 8 or more...

    Oh, and reebdoog (hehe, I get that name) the number is for selection. I wrote down a # and in order of closeness, I will make thi list. If 2 people have a number the same distance from my # (1 higher, and one lover), the lover one wins and thehigher one comes second after that.

    Anyway, I learned from the last game, and I want to keep this organized.

    I won't be creating a room especially for this project, but I can offer one from the last "Pass it on" subject that never worked. Screenshots below:

    Lighting Parameters = env_gamma 1.7 - RAD Gamma 0.9 - Direct Scale 6 - Fade 5 - Scale 3

    "Co_neglect" that's an awesome name for a mapper..... especially a ns one. Too bad Zazi didn't grab that one, be perfect for his six-years-per-map style.

    Surely someone must have the rmfs from the previous 'game' that you played, surely you could just implement the previous work into this level too? Or just take the best bits from the last one?

    Oh well, if you don't want it thats ok. Originally the texture set was yell_grey. Now its mainly teckwall and blackwall.     Meh, I have the MS allmost done except for this blasted error.. It compiles fine, goes through everything like normal, then once in game it refuses to load the map.

    As soon As I fix that, I will post some screens of the MS.

    I'll also probably have to extent the deadline for signing up too.

    Yeah, what wads are we going to use? Personally I prefer Ns and Ns2, and possibly a wad that has the things like clip, sky, origin, etc in it.

    Yeah i like ns and ns2 the most but the others are pretty cool too i mabe a costum single wad ith hl + liquids + all ns textures so the engine doesnt crash when the game beguins se this is theis is your problem too meny wads are you problem!!
