<div class="IPBDescription">sorry for lack of detail</div> I just thought of a gun to make and decided to post about it
1. A semi-auto shotgun with a revolving feed similar to that of the grenade launcher
2. the shotgun would have a pistol grip
3. since there would be no pump action it would be nice if there could be a small light on the gun that turned red when it wouldn't fire and green when it could, or you could just have something on the model move on its own to infer when the gun is ready to fire.
I am sorry for lack of detail, but you modelers are creative and I trust that if you decided to model something somewhat along these guidlines you could make it work. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

If any modellers/animators are questioning how you could do the light thing, just create two of the lights, skinned red and green, and have the animation replace them when appropriate.
Instead of a pumping animation, the drum could revolve to set up the next shell - if it was symmetrical (skin too) it would work.
Hmm, maybe you can base the futuristic shotgun off the USAS-12, notice the clear mags, a revolving drum animation could work with those..
USAS
The gun from both The Specialists and Enter The Matrix. Both times it owned. Good gun to use.

dont worry i am being a smartarse. But seriousleh though, im sure you could draw it better, so it actually looks like something. Otherwise its me going "omg im' maeking teh pitsole of teh trygun!!!111oneone" and posting something like this:
<img src='http://www.toothpastefordinner.com/060402/gun-1.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' />
it just doesnt tell you anything, does it? if your'e going to even bother, why not make it look a bit nice? example:

Yeah it looks so advanced <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
The problem with have a shotgun with a drum clip is that the shotgun only holds 8 shells, I believe the USAS has a 20 round clip or so and I dont know about the Jackhammer. The other problem is how would the reload work. You cant just take the drum out and put a new one in like you would normally reload the USAS because what if you only fired 3 shells. What about the other 5? You could reload it like the Grenade Launcher but that wouldnt look right because the hand would be moving fast. But if someone could figure away around that it would be a really great idea <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo-->
startreload > drum out
"insert shells"
end reload > drum in
However, perhaps you may want to model it again, someone?

EDIT: When clicking on the link, two windows will open up. The window underneath will have a reference picture like thing. Use that as a reference maybe? Or just use Google to find piccies of it.
EDIT TWO: No, I don't think Dr.Fuzzy made it. It was like made last year during 2.01. I remember using it, that's for sure.
nah i would of ripped the model straight out, not made a ugly version ^_^
btw quick 10 minuite concept i did that would look somewhat of what would do good
*NOTE* concepts for the boomsticks need to have a LARGE BORE BARREL because NS unrealisticly sprays like a can of spraypaint
yea it was empty, so i had to help the noobs out with SOMETHING ^_^

ive used that for TFC and i think it blows deh major ****, theres no way you can model off the original and expect it to be better
i mean your half way through reloading and something comes and you can stop reloading and start firing (with the amount of cartridges you've put in that is).
this would rule out the *remove drum* put new drum in* reload style animation and one like the gl's where you pull open the drum and insert rounds, then close the drum, because if you wanted to fire, the drum would be open.
so how about the shotgun like a big revolver?, with the drum having chambers that are permanatly open at the back, allowing you to insert cartridges with out removing/opening the drum
no idea how this would be done though
I have about a dozen more Refs if wanted...
It's a sweet looking shotgun, though.
