<div class="IPBDescription">Want To Join An Organised Outfit?</div> I've just had a phone call from one of the guys I play PlanetSide
with asking if I knew of anyone who'd be interested in joining our
PlanetSide Outfit. I couldn't think of anyone of the top of my head
because all the PlanetSide players I play with are already involved
in the outfit. So i said I'd ask here.
(I hope thats ok with the MOD's)
There's about 8 of us, we always use TeamSpeak and we're always
on the Werner (Europe) server (sorry U.S.A players) and we're in need
of some more players to balance things out.
(For example, we need a few more Tank Drivers, MAX units, Snipers
to make up the numbers.)
We're a mixed group of people, brought together by a passion for
gaming but in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Most of us have
been gaming online together for roughly 2 years and we're still going
as strong as ever. (Which I believe is because of the "fun but commited"
element)
We're willing to help the newer players advance in Battle + Command Ranks
and we're dedicated to playing the game in a serious but fun way.

Your right. Its still not. I absolutely loved the beta, but most of the changes Sony has made actually have made the game worse. I downloaded the trial about a month ago to see if I should actually play again - I deleted it in about 2 hours. Id recommend you download it and check it out though, as a lot has changed.
I don't play Planetside, i played the Beta and liked it a lot, but if i played it i'd only be able to play on the weekends and that doesn't seem like a good use of money tbh.
However is it worth it?

Is the lag that bad right now? If it isn't, I may try getting on the Werner server even if I'm in the US. Tanks don't require a good ping I bet, so why not?
Thats if I get it though, which I'm wanting to BADLY. OH SO VERY BADLY.
But first I gotta save up for the Gamespy sub...then gotta get my new Monitor...too much stuff!

You might actually like the experience of starting again now that you know more about the game. And that fun might be even more so with the help of several online friends. I mean, I'm not a big time MMO person but despite the work that goes into starting off, it is always easier the second time around.
in time, give it another try when you get the chance.
If you're only going to play on the weekend's then its probably
not worth you spending your cash on the monthly fee.... however
Sunday is easily our most active night.
Download one of the free trial offers and give it a try.
The monthly fee's honestly don't bother me in the slightest because
i'm used to paying £30-£35 for a game... PlanetSide cost me £11.99

I've spent more hours on this "budget" game, than I have on almost
any of my other "full price" pc games.

I've played the one month free trial (which IS *edit* or to be more accurate, is NOT *edit* still floating about out there), and I can see this game holding my interest for at least another month, if not 2.
With the exchange rate as it is, I will be paying about £16. £16 for three months of gameplay, and I can't remember the last game that has held my interest for more than 3 months, besides NS <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I also never really liked the VS weapons that much, but at least VS is preferable to NC (bloody shotguns).
