<div class="IPBDescription">Anthropomorph art</div> I've seen a lot of great marine/alien drawings and sketches in this forum, but not enough anthro art. I'd really like to see the talents of others like me.
Jeeze grow up and stop listening to what the media stereotype of furries says. about 1% of furries match the stereotype (ie fursuiters....those kinda people).
I happen to be part of the 99%, thank you very much. (the 99% that DOESN'T match the stereotype)
I also would like to see some anthro art here, as I haven't really seen any.

I think a fair number of artists go through a "furry phase" and then get tired of them. I did. These days I'll only draw a furry after a fair bit of kicking and screaming.
Nothing against furries unless they start throwing it in everyone's face, like it's almost some kind of hip status symbol these days.
That said, I like some anthro art as long as it is done well (like any sort of art, I guess). Not sure if there should be a lot of it here, considering the overall theme of the board, but that isn't my call. If anything, I'd say post it, but don't go hog-wild. I've noticed there are a number of furries in the NS community, and there are also many who either do not care for them or simply do not want to see the art, so let's try to keep it fair for everyone.
As for those who don't know what a "furry" or "furrie" or "furre" is... there are varying degrees of it. For a scientific explanation... A person who appreciates or creates anthropomorphic art (humanoid animals, whether cartoony or realistic) may be a furry of sorts. Those who roleplay an anthropomorphic creature (minotaur, lizardman, werewolf, etc) might consider themselves or be considered furries. So might those who simply have an affinity for an animal or animals in general. Other types of furries are those who actually dress up in costumes/furry-suits of their chosen animal, or they believe they are truly an animal trapped inside a human's body. It can get creepy, hence the negative stereotype... the mainstream furry artwork tends to be "spoogy" and depicting lewd sex, furries themselves may be involved in actual bestiality, having sex with fur-covered stuffed animals/plushies, etc...
i am the anthro king....i have like 5 old comics i made with anthro/transformation in them really cool now if i can just get my hands on a damd scanner...o and by the way...i kill u now for stealing my idea for a thread.... <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Got my own artist account on VCL if thats familiar to you, here i am:
Im gunna post loads more when i get me comp and scanner fixed and reloaded.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd--> Heheheh, was gonna toss out that site when I noticed this topic.
Anyway, I'm one as well, species? well, check the name ;P
Not really the place for Anthro/furry art though... There're a bunch of places already for it... the VCL being one of those...
Anyway, I'd say Doombringer was fairly accurate with his explination... although the artwork is technically anything involving an anthropomorphized animal...
and honestly, there's far more PG/PG-13 level art than NC-17 or "spoogy" art... (albeit that there is a fairly large a,ount, if you search for it.)
Its the same way I describe anime. It's a catagory, not a genre. It ranges the spectrum.
