<div class="IPBDescription">The pr blitzkrieg equivalent</div>Ok here is the thing,  it doesn’t make sense to me that there’s this huge pr blitz the game is released and we’re all done.  Think of a grand opening to a store,  they send out flyers and run commercials before but the day of and even a few days after is a BLOW OUT pr blitz w\ everything you could image.

So this is exactly what I propose, a conquer type pr blitz (The conquer plan is a military tactic, first you draw you enemy into a false line, once they have broken though the majority of your forces lay in wait on all side, and thus you got your enemy to run into a trap on YOUR territory. A two pronged strategy as it were.)

MonsE does mad crazy pr leading up to it. THEN oh damn… this pr blitz will break your neck if it isn’t securely against your head rest <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

    No, see, conquer is not a "tactic." It is a vague description of what you want to do. And what exactly are you proposing that is different from the PR Blitz that MonsE will work his butt off to pull off?

    Edit: So are you proposing we draw all the half life fans to attack our false front line, then when that falls, we kill them or something?

    Brilliant - we go into servers for another mod and annoy the people we want to play the mod.  That's a plan worthy of a telemarketer who calls you at 3 in the morning to try to sell you cat floss.

    the best sort of pr you can do for a mod is what monse will be doing then just let it filter through. From personal expierience one of the most annoying things is someone constantly trying to ram something down your throat , it eventually just gets you ignored.

    Best thing to do , tell the people you play online with bout ns , tell your freinds bout ns , then let monse do his thing then sit back and enjoy.

    amendum - irc parties = ick its nice seeing the number for interest but after you hit 20 peeps talking at once it gets messy very quick and needs +m usually .. which is fair enough for the regulars who get voiced .. but ... ick  <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    And I, too, advertise NS once a game. Usually when the topic comes up, about mods or aliens or something. I once met one other guy who was waiting for it in a DoD server, and we talked about it a while, and managed to convince half the server (inadvertantly, mind you) that NS was the best mod ever.

    TychoCelchuuu, I've been in your spot tons of times before! I remember once on a DoD server I had mention NS, and all of the server never even heard of NS, and I quickly told them the theme of the game, and they were hooked wanting more. I posted the website, and maybe perhaps they will be some new comers to the NS community. It just took me by surprise that a whole 24 DoD server didn't hear about NS

    God Almighty can't even help these boards now. Well once NS is released, then ill be out. God i hope its soon, i can't take anymore checking of these boards every 15 minutes anymore.

    I find it funny ..

    the lack of confidence and respect in Monse

    He has already asked you not to go out and do your own PR.

    He has already told you he has it all planed.

    He has already told you not to worry about it.

    Listen to him.

    He is not incompetent.  He has it under control.  The only thing you'll be doing with your own PR is more damage then good.

    I don't think advertising once in another mods server would be all that districtive.  If its only done once on the server.  Not round, not map, not when more people join.

    Just once.

    And even then I wouldnt do it, because I respect Monse's wishes.
