Sounds like a good idea to me. It works great for the mapping forum (#nsmapping) so why wouldn't it work great for the artwork channel. Just could probally use a sticky at least until it get's well established.

So that more people will be around to answer questions or at least look like there is sombody to talk to. If more people stay on, the better the chance that sombody will be around to talk to or to pimp your work to.
