<div class="IPBDescription">weird thing</div> Is the skulk faster in combat than it is in ns?
I had a co game were I was skulk, and when running it felt like I had wings, I owned marines VERY easy by hopping around extremely fast...not to mention how fast I felt when I got celerity, geez sonic like....like the aliens in avp(1)

    As far as i know, they arent. Maybe it was just the illusion because you were owning so many marines with celerity carapace focus and what not?

    It's a mental state where you percieve time <i>quickly</i> or <b>slowly</b>.

    So let's say you're in a bad mood, blablabla all things go bad blablabla. Meaning your mind isn't able to concentrate much.

    But when you are in a calmer state, everything moves at a much more slower pace.

    BUT there are exceptions. One such is the Adrenaline rush. You have such an adrenaline rush that your mind tends to 'hyperfocus' on everything. I'm sure during your killing spree you experienced some sort of slowmo a split second or so before you kill your victim right?

    That is your mind at work. I also occasionally get this and boy does it help.

    Nothing like a good adrenaline rush. Not the best thing during organized clan games, but boy it's fun <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Skulks are no faster in combat then they are in ns.

    Like RaVe said, its all in your head. <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I have experienced games where everything seemed to be in slow-motion.. perhaps some kind of strange mentaly-induced time distortion.

    In CO maps, the rooms tend to be much smaller than in NS maps. thus you seem to be moving much faster.

    I dont get adrenaline rushes as much as adrenaline tsunamis. I can be high for about 5 min after one of those...

    I think what parallax mentioned is a big part of it, ns maps are large and open while combat is alot more corridor style.

    I'd say the mind plays a small part of it too.

    you can go faster in vents as a skulk, hold down one of the strafes, right or left....and forward, you go faster <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> This also works when walking against walls, against not on.
