Head Hitboxes?

Do the aliens actually have these because I am always emptying masses of ammunition into some enemies in order to kill them and it annnoys me so very very much.

Sometimes though as a fade I get shot twice by a shotty and I am dead but other times I fire around 5 shells into a fade and sometimes it doesn't even die WTH?

    With weapon upgrade 3, u need 4 shells from NEAR to kill a fade.
    I think Head hitboxes are ****.... when a skulk run in front of you its easy to kill him with 1 shot in his head :/

    There is no location damage in NS. That means a bullet to the toe will be as lethal as a bullet to the head.

    There has never been and never will be locational damage in NS, as of right now anyways. If there is a sequel, there might be. It would unbalance the game. Skulks would instakill marines in one bite despite armor level and same with lerks and anyother combatant alien.

    As for if there were, well the skulk's damage area would probably be small to compensate, the fades would be normal human but since when were you concerned about shooting a fade in the head? The lerks, well the good lerk will keep moving and you won't get a bead. Gorges are easy enough as is, and the onos's head hitbox would be a small rectangular area on the side of head since he has a huge armor plate on the front and top. <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I didn't think so. I realise about the damage sometimes the sysetem seems inconsistent I understand about the head hitbox being big and all though.

    Hitboxes in themselves are not why they dont exist, its because of all the cheaters with aimbots that all of a sudden gets more room in NS...


    Hitting a skulk head on will kill it regardless, and the onos would rahter have a damage reduction in the head(seeing his forehead being kindof hard looking)


    pre 3.0 there were screwed hitboxes, sometimes fades would run around forever, while in vents and similar they died like flies.
