Crouch Bug Returning?

<div class="IPBDescription">Are we returning to 1.04?</div> I was playing a few games today and realised that crouching indeed does make me live longer, now weather or not this is because my enemies are retarded remains to be seen, however my evidence that its still exists is that my brother sitting beside me was my enemy and he said out loud "I can't freaking hit you stop crouching you lamer." Now he might be retarded as I said but been a family member I can vouch and say he isn't.

So has anyone else experience a return of the bug or am I and my brother a victim of crappy Steam net code?

    We just got the results back, sorry your comments about your brother being a retard were correct. Is his name NSPlayer as well ? <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::lerk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/lerk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='lerk.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    This is not the place for figuring out bugs. It is the place for reporting clearly reproducible bugs. Phasing.

    lol at Spurty

    and Immacolata could you please explain to me and give a clear defintion. I figured out the bug its either a) Crouch bug returning or b) Crappy, crappy Steam Netcode. IMHO crouch is very easy to reproduce you hold down the Ctrl button in my case. In other words I have no idea what you are saying about figuring out bugs.

    Saying something like "I think crouching makes me live longer" doesn't give the developers much help in fixing any bug. Perhaps you live longer because you're a smaller target and a little harder to see? I've never had any problems killing crouching marines though, even in vents.

    But if you're convinced it really does still exist, try to reproduce it: get a friend or another computer to help and do bites that you think should hit the marine. If one obviously should hit but does not, come back and talk about it.

    It makes devouring a lot harder when crouched unless the onos crouches too.

    The influences of crouching in the game are correct, their is nothing rong with crouching, I always crouch to avoid the swings of a fade, swoop of a lark or devour if an onous, the alien just has to come down to your level or look down to kill you.

    Many people crouch to avoid a fade swipe but I never had problems as fade to hit them when I was AIMING DOWN. It's a easy kill <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Crouching before a fade or onos is an unexpected reaction , so you do live a split second longer <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
