I don't think everyone would go on a text spamming spree just because they get some useful commands.

I have something of the sort. I have two binds that say in text that I need health or I need ammo, and they also make the radio call for it, so either I'm going to get my necessities!

1, i think it could do things easier for the comm.

I hate those things with a passion. If a marine wants the commander's attention he can use the "in position", "medpack", "ammo" or "need order" commands. That way he doesn't bug anyone else.

well yes but radio command will give away his position if the comm told him to ninja build a pg by their hive

i say that if they add this they will also need to add a chat delay

    oh and i vote #1

#1. This is very useful for when I don't feel like using a mic as a marine, and would help out other marines in case you die, so they know where you were.

the game allready says where you are whenever you type a message. Other than that, get a mic, a decent one is never over 20 dollars.

if you're going to add in options like that I would rather have them be automatic rather than player useable... players tend to find ways to exploit things and generally I try to keep as little of the gameplay as possible in the hands of the players... but then that's just me.

Aliens could find this useful, as well as Marines in combat maps.

Actually NS does have it. Just look after the players name and you can see the location where they're at. It's just that it's not that noticeable....

I run something like this on my server, and I have yet to see it get abused by players in such a manner.

    %h = health
    %a = armor
    %l = location

Probably gonna add more later on but this works for now.
