    I played on some servers running some unkown cheat program which meant I couldn't do anything at all with the message "your half-life has been modified, please unmodify it and reconnect" or something.

    It was CD it didn't like. Works fine without it. Would this thing also detect all hook cheats?(as CD is one itself)

    And anyone know what it was?

    I was under the impression that VAC wouldn't be in until NS was listed under My Games in Steam (instead of 3rd party stuff), with all those perks. The dev team have definately been playing with VAC, but whether or not they decided to stick with it is a different issue.

    I have not seen much --if any cheating in NS. I might just be one of the lucky ones. But as NS gets more popular....

    Pure NS-cheats are not too common. But remember that back in the 1.04 days there was a NS-cheat which had aimbot. Also something for you to think, even if pur NS-cheats doesn't exist doesn't mean that the WH designed for CS or other popular HL-mods wouldn't work for NS. Played correctly WH is very very hard to spot.

    Why would you want to wallhack when NS has built in wallhacks allready (MT,SOF).

    I sure the official line is report the "cheater" and your evidence to an admin for the server spotted them on. I'm not sure what if any action won/steam take. Most "good" cheaters would have multiple cd-keys and non-fixed ip addresses. Short of nailing em to a cross they have little comeback.
