I just been strolling through the hugh numbers of threads in the forum and have come across many ideas for new weapons! Some people wanted flamethrowers, others wanted a larger clip for grenade launchers. So i thought i might open a thread for all you guys who had any ideas on what sort of new guns/ammo type/alien attack/comm abilities/equipment! Pictures of your monstrosities would be great as I've seen loads of amazing art work from some people!

Equipment? Heat tracking, for partially detecting cloaked enemies (would be a progressive upgrade from motion.) Self-destruction, for those unfortunate Onos encounters. A stationary Minigun turret emplacement
For alien "weapons," I cannot think of anything else. I mean, there are only so many ways you can use the same limbs repeatedly.
2) In the I&S forum, there is a little thing called the FAQ. It's got a bunch of stuff in it that you shouldn't go about suggesting, such as alternate ammo types, caertain pieces of equipment, etc.
3) There already is a flamthrower in the works - Flayra just has to get it to look good and it goes in.
4) Larger clips aren't in the FAQ, but trust me they have been suggested many times for all weapons.
5) The kharra change their body temperature so they match their surroundings - so heat vision (also suggested many times) wouldn't do jack for detecting them.
6) You already have a self-destruct. Just type "kill" in the console and you die in three seconds.
7) No new aliens is something that is in the "don't suggest" part of the I&S FAQ.
I think NS is pretty fine weapons-wise at the moment really...and seeing as new weapons would have to actually replace some of the old ones, they'd have to be a damn good improvement.
Whats the deal with the flamer? Will it replace something else, or is there still enough space or what..?

It would probably take a leaf out of Combat's book and just shove it in Weapon 4 or over an existing slot.

It would just make you drop the LMG. lol.
Ah! You mean replacing the weapon in game, as apposed to just the slot. Sheesh. Start again. Yeah, there are spaces left in the HL engine for a few weapons. That's why hand grenades work.
