<div class="IPBDescription">and it's **** me off.</div> For some reason I can't connect to Steam, my internet is fine and I can get every website I go to to come up... except www.steampowered.com. Is anybody else having problems connecting to the Steam network? Anyone else having problems connecting to steampowered.com? If so, do you know of a way to fix it?

    Will wonders never cease, Steam is back up. So much for this thread. Kind of odd though, it's down all day and then when I post about it it goes back up.     Works for me, but its sslllloooooowww as hell.

    Maybe its something to do with the MyDoom virus?     No.. According to microsoft(!) It will slow the whole internet down by 10% because of the mydoom Virus. So i wouldnt think that would be a problem because these forums + others work fine.

    well you probably updated in time before the network went down, I knew I should have logged in earlier...

    now I have to wait for it to go back up for the update.

    Steam's working fine for me atm (even freinds! GASP!!!!1one1)

    Hi there,

    Well as I speak Steam is down for me. It is "checking for steam updates" and it suddenly gives the message 'Cannot contact the Steam network, please try later'.

    I was chatting with a friend while being in Steam and suddenly I got stuck in Steam. Nothing seemed to work.

    So I tried to restart Steam and all I got was a list of games that were not activated. So I restarted my computer and when trying to start Steam again I got that message. In fact I tried it several times and nothing works.

    Is my Steam bugged, is it a virus, or should I just wait and try it again tomorrow?

    I'm beginnig to be desesparete.

    Just wait. Steam has only been able to find servers sporadically for me, but it's still working. Just give it time.
