Metamod And Beta 3

I can't get it working.

It was working with MM 1.17.0a for Beta2, but after updating to beta 3 now it just segfaults and dies.

    I'm running that version and am having no problems. Try disabling all your metamod plugins and see if it will load by itself.

    I have the same problem... I've run metamod without any plugins and it still has a segmentation fault. Same versions. I haven't had a server running before beta 3 though, so I can't say whether or not that has anything to do with it on my side. The exact error (for me at least) is:
    <!--c1--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->
    ./hlds_run: line 412:  2464 Segmentation fault      $HL_CMD<!--c2--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->

    Means nothing to me, though the error almost certainly comes about from the metamod .so file.

    Edit: As a test, I rolled back to beta 1, no dice... I've seen a similar error in another thread, but unfortunately get the same error, with a slightly different situation, and don't quite grasp what's happening, due to my relative n00bliness with Linux... and by the way, I'm running redhat 9, may have something to do with it *shrugs* (I'm not intending to hijack, just tryin to help... and maybe help myself)

    Edit2: The solution I found was getting a different metamod file... found it in another thread here, try that.

    Um, happy that you are using RH9 like myself and got it to work, but hows about telling us how?

    What metamod library did you use and where did you get it (URL would be super sexy of you)?

    Thanks in advance

    note, here's what I have tried with no success:

    e8bdab1d373eb220493d6f1d0c7fdd21 metamod/dlls/metamod_i386.so
    2baca9d5b64ec1e2c4dccdff104ac777 metamod/metamod_i386.so
    1b05c19548fdb360a3fc9f90b35191b1 metamod/dlls/metamod_i386.so

    I assume it was none of the above?
