Aye, I remember this. (Although when it first came out, I would of been a wee one year old).

I always wondered where this "original" version came from. I still remember that the song being played would of occurred as a they were being dressed and geared along a conveyor belt.

Oh, just bloody great that was. But if we're talking classic cartoons, then nothing beats Count Duckula.

I think i have a video of that somewhere. Strange since i was born on the last year it was aired...

Anyway, i'm sorry, Count Duckula comes NOWHERE near Danger Mouse!

DM was brilliance, but there's something about the trio of Igor, Nanny and Ducky-boos that wins me over every time.

Danger Mouse = teh win :-D Count Duckula rawked too, but you have to give DM props because CD started out on his show, after all :>

    penfold, shush.

...although slightly more recent, my REAL favorite cartoons are The Tick and Freakazoid... they never got popular because they were too grown up for kids and too kiddie for adults... so basically, I was their only demographic <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo--> Comedy Central used to run the tick at midnight every night 7 days a week, in order, and there are only 36 episodes total, so basically every month I'd watch the entire series, knew most of em by heart... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

All <b>most</b> excellent, but let's not forget the glory of Trap Door.

As my favourite, it was hard to choose between the marvellous quadrology of Turtles, Thundercats, Transformers and Ghostbusters (The <i>Real</i> Ghostbusters, not this <i>Extreme</i> clap-trap with the PC wheelchair-ridden 'buster).

Of course, in the latter stages of childhood, the (at the time) nouveau CG and popular culture references of Reboot was tip-top.

    <a href='http://thelbsc.co.uk/freakazoid.mp3' target='_blank'>Freakazoid, chimpanzee!</a> Have some <a href='http://thelbsc.co.uk/duckula.mp3' target='_blank'>Duckula,</a> too.

Sam & Max and Earthworm Jim were also great, but that goes without saying really.

Sam - "We'll show our young charge a good time and use his mystic abilities for our own childish amusement!"
    Max - "Can you say '<a href='http://thelbsc.co.uk/symbiotic.wav' target='_blank'>symbiotic?</a>'"
Sam - "Not without busting a gut!"

Earthworm Jim was brilliant, but I haven't had the pleasure of seeing Sam & Max yet.

Anyone know where I can download episodes of either cartoon?

    Same.

Also, I have to say that The Tick and Freakazoid always had <b>me</b> as part of their demographic. The second I saw the episode of Freakazoid that introduced Norm Abrahm of "The New Yankee Workshop" fame as a superhero, I was hooked.

I eBayed a homemade DVD of Sam & Max with every episode on it - even the ones that didn't make it to VHS - but I can't get it to work in my PC DVD drive, so I can't rip them. The drive doesn't recognise it, but if anyone would know why and could explain, that'd be grand. It works in my PS2, by the way. Copy protection?

I'm all for Captain Bucky O'Hare....

Not that I remember any of the episodes (or what they were about)...All I know is Bucky was a rabbit. Also, I got a watch with my Bucky shoes when I was like 4...It might still be in my desk, not working of course.

    Can't forget He-man...although, He-man was really popular...still something wrong with it though. Looking back at any episode you just feel...dirty <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo--> .

Bucky rocks! (even though I only remember he was a rabbit in the future)

Man, you guys are making me feel like I've had such a deprived childhood! I've never seen most of the shows you guys are talking about. I do remember Darkwing Duck though. One of my favourite cartoons ever. Also, anyone else remember Talespin? I just loved the planes on that one. Also the city they lived in was pretty cool. It was defended by AA guns against pirates even.

    Cool DW fan art!

Freakazoid!!! It's all about the FREAKAZOID!!

If there was ever a show that spawned mroe great lines then that, I would like to see it!

(starring Weena Mercator as The Hopping Woman)

And Freakazoid also taught me that Newt Gingrich isn't a nerd, he's a Chubby Boy! That whole nerd episode is just great.
