    Hey, nice first attempt, mine was not nearly so... never mind.

    I don't know if your looking for criticism but your texturing could use a lot of work. Nice job making something other than a hollow cube. Could you tell me what that is in the center stripe running down the middle of the hallway? Is it a reflection or a see-through texture?

    1. The hall is much too small

    2. The glass should have some kind of border before the actual ceiling and floor.

    its a window...Originaly I had the Marine spawn under there but Blueman told me that you can't put large rooms under other rooms...it messes up commander mode...
    Yeah I know it's small, im just using it to connect two tiny non-important rooms

    Heres what it looks like going the other way...Theres going to be a door or something where the end is but I have not figured out how to make doors yet so thats why its not there yet...

    now <i>thats</i> new!  A glass floor that when you look out oyu see the space station!  I LOVE IT!  Beside the misaligned textures (no biggie) this map looks good!

    And whil I normally agree that there should be a break between floor and glass, this case is definetly an exception. I think it looks much better borderless, and for your first time, I think the whole thing looks good.

    It looks good, but i would suggest making a outline for the glass part, Metal or something.

    you sure this is your first attempt at mapping? good god... it is very impressive...

    As said by others, and in the great gnit-picking fashion, I would have to agree that the glass areas need some sort of reinforcement...particularly the glass room which strangely reminds me of something from a real bad 70's spy tv show ..like a "cone of silence" or something

    Well last picture for tonight...Im going to change this around I know the wires look goofy but I plan on moving them and the doors red light on the bottom is going to lign up with the glass... and I tried to fix the textures but it was hard <!--emo&:(--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('><!--endemo-->

    Don't use the "fit" command for the texture in the lower part of the walls, make 'em larger because the hallway is too small!

    Ok heres a picture of a mini-test research garden or the aliens "stuff" I dunno what that stuff is called but it's just there...as you can see from the space station being abandoned a while ago the "stuff" manifested and took over that room....there will not be a hive in that room but a hive in a room close to it (yeah yeah yeah I know it's small and all but it's just there to show off the story about what happened there...)

    Aye, 1st thing u gotta do i get real drunk and the draw some things.
    2nd you gotta remember that every part of yer map should have a function, like: A spaceship has an engine room and not an all day open beach and swimming pool (or something like that). Try to keep it a bit reasonable.
    3rd you gotta try to make it fit in like it should be, research station at a research lab, medi beds in the mediroom etc. etc.

    As for yer lack of inspiration: make a mediroom.
