Kicked For Being Too Good?

I was recently kicked from a server([Monks])because apparently i had to have been hacking to have a 58 and 14 game as a decked out Skulk.

Anybody else got servers with powerhungry Admins that cant stand dying that they want to share so i can add those to my no play list too?

Eh, it happens all the time. Send an e-mail to the admin or something, or find another server.

I've played on these types of servers however I find that many times that I see high skill players kicked is because the general skill level of the rest of the people is fairly low. The idea is not that they are kicking you because they (the admins) are tired of dying by your hands, but rather that they recognize that they and the rest of the people on the server are way out of your league. The idea is that they want to try and preserve a somewhat even skilled playing field on the server to make it fun for EVERYONE and not just a select few elite players.

This phenomenon has happened to me countless times, but I figured a way to get around it, still have fun, and still let everyone else have fun too. Basically dumb yourself down to what you think the level of skill on the playing field is at. It becomes a mind game for you because you have to guard agains showing your true skill while still playing a fun game. It ends up being even more fun (IMHO). Unfortunately there are a great many people who view playing this game as some sort of competition where they have to try and be the best of the best of the best of the...... etc. That just isn't the spirit of the game (Yes even in Combat). Its a team oriented game and so the emphasis should be on how well your team plays rather than how well you play. Its fine to form clans and whatnot to play competitively, but it is completely naive to think that you should be given the same leeway on a pub server that most people join to simply play casually.

If you're tired of being kicked from servers because you are simply too good and don't want to dumb yourself down, try focusing on just clan servers and get in good with one that plays competitively or semi-competitively (my clan... we could care less about winning competitions, but absolutely love doing casual scrims). Another thing you have to keep in mind is that with the latest releases there has been a huge influx of new guys that can't possibly be expected to perform at your level so this kind of occurance will happen much more frequently.

Please take server gripes to the server, not here. It happens to everyone, and apparently everyone likes whining about it. Find another server, find a regular server where the admins know you. Don't whine about it.
