hey, with that huge space under a barrel, you could put a nice LAM... just gotta make it where you can actually see it ingame. the model is still pretty low poly, you can spend for it :o
The back and front are too different in shape/weight. That will cause serious inaccuracy in between shots (because of the front/back weighing more than it's counterpart.)

it was discussed a while ago but the only way you can make the bullets laser is changing the traser color because the bullet tracers are not a sprite but i like your JP idea

What would it take to make the bullet trace into a glowy red... laser. If tis really hard, and requires programming, then bah, but if tis jsut like... a model needing change, then i bet someone could do it.
For laser fire in v_model: Just make a laser beam, attach it to a single bone and then make it only appear in the view during the fire anim. For the player model: Well, you COULD make it as for the v_model, but then the player model would need to get changed firing anims for the gun and 2 more bones... But it would pierce walls so it would count as a spiked model and I think having such lasers flashing around you in a firefight would kinda distract you <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Ok, I've tried time and time again to convert this model to 3DS, but none of the plugins or whatever work properly. None of the geometry is kept the same, so anyone have a good FREE Maya to 3D Studio converter that I can aquire? I will mesh it in 3D studio, that's why I need help.
