  1 - keep your installs... this helps alot when you screw something up.
  2 - steamapps/halflife/nsp/models/ <--- general models forlser
  
  
  3 - copy/paste all your models folder into a new folder models_backup... and copy from there...

  what i do is if i have room i just copy the complete ns folder to another spot so i always have the originals, but that takes some hard drive.

  there used to be a really good method i used using pak files to keep the originals, but i'm not sure if Steam still uses the .pak format. can anyone tell me? of so i might explain it all out for yas.

  Steam no longer loads paks since the original game content is now stored in the .gcfs

  is it possible to put the content in a gfc like all the other valve games so it takes up less room?
