<div class="IPBDescription">Not yet complete but hey!</div>I forgot to turn on r_speeds for the first 3 so I went back in and got 2 more with it on...
The lighting isn't final cause there is a bit of a hiccup in the main cylinder but not that noticable...
You can probably see that there is no exit from the walkway but there will be and there will also be two walkways to the smaller vats either side....
As I said, lighting isn't final...just thought youd be interested to see...
any comments? criticisms? insults?

Do you need 16 spawn points for EACH hive, or just grouped around one, or spread out among the three hives?
Edit* Another thing that bugs me is that the room its all infested, but yet, the lights are clean =/ try making some infested lights and some broken or turned off, experimentate with the gamma =D
Look at the pictures of the official maps, alot have open spaces in the hive rooms themselves, if your argument goes they can just siege it from behind a wall.

Back on topic:
From what I've seen so far ns_odler will r0ck j00 s0x0rz.. or something similair..=) And I like it that u finally see some different colored infestation (maybe its a light tricking my eyes, or I haven't been very observant watching other hives) as I haven't seen anything else than green O_o.
Is this the same place as the one in your movie (benny hill soundtrack) ?

Marines can build on infested textures, just not water or steep slopes.
I'd like to see little more uneveness on top of the cylinder and on the ceiling. Nice start Hanz.

You only need 3 actually, even 1 works, as the maximum aliens spawning at one time is 3, so, hehe, you get the picture, more hives = more respawns, its random at what hive you spawn at.

Wrong Cyanide. At the beginning of the game, there is no respawn timer/queue, so all aliens need to have a separate spawn point. And this could be as many as 16. So 16 just to be safe.
The hive was initially going to be inside the big tank which would have pipes leading to the other two tanks plus an opening in the roof...but of course...that's not good in terms of the whole commander thing..Makes me wonder whether it would make for more interesting gameplay if there were some places that Mr Commander just can't see...It doesn't really make sense that a commander can see EEEEVERYWHERE... would sort of make the game more exciting too - "Guys, my coverage stops here...good luck...commander out!"
DarkMantiz : nah, this is hive 2 in the lab area. Hive 1 is in the sewers of the living quarters...and the hive you saw was hive 3 in the speciman storage area (zoo)
