I Just Got Done With An Hour Long Co Game

<div class="IPBDescription">on OSS NS 3.0 beta 3 server</div> 21 lvl 10 players is INSANE. Map was angst. Rines eventually won, but the CC was brought to half health like 4 times. The aliens killed the armory, which pretty much netralized me since I had a GL and no resupply. So I welded everything. Eventually about 5 of the alien team went onos, and at one point we had killed all the onos. Quick rush on the hive and GG.

I got a pic of the near end game scorboard. I just need to know how to post pics, and I'll put it up.

    Yep you see those hour co_`s sometime i just played one last night.
    It also gets boring after 5min of the lvl 10 <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo--> It still need some fiXXing!

    It also depends on the co map how long average games last.
    thankg good it never broke the 1:30 hour mark.

    I think the long games are due to the fact that people go level ten with their GL's and Heavy Armor and what not and are still afraid to die and loose their goodies and have a death scored against them.

    The maps are not designed for 10vs10 or greater. In the whole playtesting we never played more than 8vs8 (except some stupid 16vs16 rounds <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif' /><!--endemo--> )

    I find any combat game over 20 minutes, irritating and a waste of time though people still like to push the game on and on. Yesterdy, I joined a 15v15 game, I looked at the timer and the game was going for 83:11, I was like WTH. I joined the game on the aliens, all I saw was webs all over the place, a team of five Onos, and three Fade's, where I was the only Skulk on the team and everyone else was a Gorge/Lerk. The game lasted 20 minutes when we got there because the marine's stalemated inside of their base. Game's should not last 100+ minutes at all, when I get home I'll post screenshots of the timer. Also, the game was going on so long that some people had 200 frags+

    Combat should be 15 minutes, at the most.

    No it shows one side is too weak, if one side is winning but can't end the game it shows imbalance.

    A week or two ago I joined the game "70 mins" of a game that lasted 88 minutes in total :/

    Not really. A lot of stalemate games are:
    Aliens rush -> CC down to 66%
    Marines rush while two weld -> Hive down to 60%
    Aliens rush while gorge heals -> CC down to 56%
    Marines rush while two weld -> Hive down to 45%

    rinse, lather, repeat, etc....

    I do think CO is rather well balanced right now. I also agree that some CO games tend to get tedious.
