The Pillows-Bran New Love Song (the best love song with no words I've ever heard, I used to listen to it all the time during relationship troubles, so now it reminds me of that)

And also High School by Nerf Herder (even though this is meant to be a comedy song, it's just so depressing)

I listen to emo music, so I have a lot of choices...

But mostly I'd have to say Bright Eyes - Waste of Paint

    Download it AND CRAI

Cowboy Bebop: Green Bird (when spike is falling out of the cathedral window)

Faye Wong: Eyes on Me (from FF8)

    Trigun: Sound Life (Lem's song)

    U2: Elevation

Yoko Kanno: Yubiwa (I think it's from the Escaflowne OST)

Pippin's song from Return Of the King

Yoko Kanno: Moon (From the Turn A Gundam OST)

"I was only 19" (and for some bizzare reason I've forgotten who plays it...)

Bright Eyes is the kindof music that when you listen to it either 1)you are reminded of every crappy thing that has ever happened to you since you were 6 or 2)Makes you laugh uncontrollably at the sheer amount of emo contained within it.

And if you want emo, you gotta go for some old-school emo, like The Pixies. I shoulda put that down in my first post....

Any song from Les Miserables. Especially any that Colm Wilkenson (Best Valjean ever) sings in.

Also, in no particular order - Soul Asylum - Runaway Train
Our Lady Peace - 4 AM
    Arcangelo Corelli - La Folia
Yoko Kanno - Myung's Theme (from Macross)

That is one of my favorite songs. I gets me every time.

Also theres this one blink 182 or um I forget the band that played it and the name of the song, so I guess it doesn't help.

However, Mad World is the only song you need if you want to feel sad. I strongly suggest everyone checks it out. Great lyrics and a wonderful depressing tune.

If you think it's Blink-182 and it's the kind of song that "gets to you" then it's probably Boxcar Racer (who were the absolutely terrible side-project to Blink-182, who were also pretty bad)

Well, there's a lot of moody blues that my dad used to listen to...some of that was pretty good.

Swing swing (not its actual name, but it's from a line in the song, I think it's by Paula Cole...it just reminds me of my dad)

? (Fragezeichen) by Nena (It's up there with a couple other of her songs...although, its probably not going to make anyone cry.

30 Minut by Tatu (probably works better if you knew someone that was Russian speaking...despite the fact it's about people planning to run away)

    shame by Matchbox 20
    unwell by Matchbox 20
    electrolite by REM
    Everybody Hurts by REM
Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen (...you know, until the headbangish part)

(not like any of these will actually make you cry...except may everybody hurts...but that'd only be if you had a really bad day or something - of course, I'm different because I have actual psychological binds to a couple of those)

I have a good number of songs that get to me.

    <b>Cradle Of Filth - Bathory Aria</b>:
This just... gets to me. A very close friend of mine from several years ago loved this song, and it's always reminded me of her (We haven't spoken in quite some time).

    <b>Lacuna Coil - Reverie</b>:
Related to the girl i mentioned above, this song's lyrics just remind me of her so much. "I have you here in my dreams tonight, you were holding my hand, and i awake and you're not mine, now it's time to rise.....". It doesn't effect me quite as much these days, but i still have a soft spot for it, meaning i can't really listen to it anymore.

    <b>L'Arc~En~Ciel - Driver's High</b>:
This one's a bit... sad, really. It was one of the theme tunes to Great Teacher Onizuka, an anime series i love, and it just reminds me of how the series has ended and there will be no more. Kinda makes me sad. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    <b>The Levellers - Julie</b>:
This is just a sad song. Reminds me of my oldest and best friend i have, one of my closest and dearest to me. ^___^

    There's more, but i either don't want to mention them, or can't remember why. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Charles Wesley - And Can It Be That I Should Gain

Billy James Foote - You Are My King (Amazing Love)

Daniel L. Schutte - Whom Shall I Send

    <b>8stops7 - Question Everything</b>
This story is told from the point-of-view of a neglected son. His father considers his son a burden and is never there for him, and so the son grows to a man with a bitterness between him and his father.

Decades later, the father is now elderly and realizes he doesn't want to die without making peace with his son. Due to the decades of neglect and lies, the son is reluctant to even listen to anything his father says.

This part of the verse had me in tears the first time I heard it. Really emotional stuff:
<i>"If I seem surprised to see you, lying here in front of me
Just consider what you`re asking and give me a little time
Cause I`m still having trouble breathing
Cause up 'til now I`ve never seen you cry"</i>

    There's an audio sample and lyrics at <a href='http://www.8stops7.com/audio/inmod03.html' target='_blank'>their website</a>.

[edit] okay, so <i>all</i> the lyrics are there... you just have to click that 'down' arrow thingy.
