  beta 3 is out, go grab it from the DLs page (install just as you did with beta 2, its a patch)

  i installed beta 3 right and it still says the same thing...is there an update i missed?

  if you installed beta 3 properly and are tryign to play on a beta 3 server then you will not get this issue.
  
  to see the version of the game:
  pop open the steam server browser and make the 'game' tab bigger so you can see the full name
  
  there are still a few beta 2 servers out there.

  yes there are 2 patches
  
  NO YOU DON'T HAVE TO INSTALL BETA 2
  
  All I can say is that (save very extenuating cercomstances) if you folow the dirrections on the downloads page you will have no problems (if you connect to a beta 3 server)
  
  if you think you might have a corupt install poke around like the second page for posts on downloading and I have written a mini guide on how to make SURE you get the proper and full file.
