apprently
Sorry for this moan but I'm just fed up with some vets being the noobest players on the server.
Example: I was commander on veil, 2 vets in my team (With stupid names of course like $, poopoohead, ^$%&"£ and Jaffa&^*) I thought, ohh this could be fun, marines who can aim AND follow orders. For the 20 min game they decided to ignore pg's that need building at base, along with ever other manner of structure, leaving a hive when i said i wanted to secure it (This hive being on the opposite side of the map to their WP), and attacking another hive on their own with ha and hmg. Then moaning that I didn't give them med packs and ammo, despite me telling them they weren't getting **** if they ramboed. Most of the rest of team at least tried to follow orders but the vets were just trying to get as many kills as possible. I may not be even a very good commander but I know at least in part how to win and thats through team play. These vets didn't show any team play what so ever. So I ask, why are they vets if they don't have a clue?
I've seen plenty of skilled, co-operative vets, but the vet medal's starting to mean nothing with all these complete noobs with them.

Don't expect class, just because they have the medal icon.
I say we either find a way to get rid of icons for n00bvets till there good, or dump vets completely.

I'd like to see the statistics for that. Pretty much all vets I play with WILL listen to me when I comm and will follow waypoints and such. 1 out of 50 is an absurd, fabricated number, even if it is exaggerated. I've played with a number of vets on many different servers, and they are nowhere near being the ignorant smacktards that people generalize them as.
People have a few bad run-ins with some vets (and probably critisized them unfairly) and they classify the rest as being smacktards.
/me grasps the constellation icon in a death grip
I havent ran into any vets with the behaviour mentioned above, maybe its the fact that I only play on servers with mostly mature people (and/or good administration).
Oh, and I don't believe the 4-times-a-week rule is going to be enforced now that the beta is out for everyone.
What would be cool are custom icons. Weren't client icons going to be added? Or was that just server icons?
