How Does Everyone Feel About More Ns Players?

Everyday I run into new NS players. In combat and classic. Whenever they ask questions I am more then helpful to them. Sometimes though, you run across utter stupidity... people going one hive onos in classic and then dying 30 seconds later. When they spawn back as skulk they call it "****" that they didn't keep their onos.

What I am trying to get at, is there an official/unofficial 3.0 guide anywhere? Because no one ever has a link to help the influx of newbies. Their excuse is that there isn't a manual available so they do stupid things...

This post is probably going to be locked but I just also wanted to mention that if no one read the changelog between 2.x and 3.x then they have no idea of what is going on except from word of mouth.

    i honestly havent checked to see if the new manual is out, but i believe its flay's intention to get a real, and updated true Players Manual out there for the offical release of 3.0, but seeing as how this is still beta, it may not be out yet

    Personally I wouldn't have a problem at all if they could just instantly understand the game.... Or at least read the manual and not be idiots... I also really think that combat is bad for new players, because then they get accustomed to not needing to worry about death, for they will have their onos/fade/lerk when they respawn.

    In classic you do not have that luxury...

    And before someone posts saying "you were once a noob too"... While I did accidentely put a sensory chamber for first hive on top of an rt.... I quickly learned of the upgrade chambers and everything, and even when I first started, I was at least decent, and tried to do what the commander said.

    There are way to many noobs that think you need thousands of turrets and think they're right and don't follow orders or anything.

    I don't mind the noobs at all that at least attempt to be helpful.

    I like and dislike the flow of new people, but more like than not.

    I've seen servers filled to the limit with tardcakes, and stupidity to the extend which you mentioned.

    But more importanly I've seen so many more games with much more interesting fights. Alot less of the constant bearing pressure to stay alive at all times, and more head-on battles with big losses to each side. A deal of this is due to the new Lerk uses and Onos cost.

    Before when you lost somthing high up, it was either "gg" or ` quit. Now it seems to be "(Team) Damn they got me (us), lets get em back!"

    Yes , getting new players is good and bad.
    Good as in Ns gets bigger.
    Bad as in Some new players just have an attitude against ppl who know the game.

    hey and look, If you want to know the prices for the aliens, it's all right in that manual.

    Skulk 2 instead of 4
    Onos 75 instead of 100

    reminds me of something that happened to day....
    Some guy goes onos before, we get anouther hive or any upgrades....
    falls in the water in Powersilo, on ns_nothing, and dies....

    that once happened to me.. but it was only because i was jumping out of the way of some incoming grenade spam. i was innocent... (plus the gorge fell in with me,)
