    you'll spend 2 hours just running around the map looking at it and finding all the nooks and crannies.  At least that will be me <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

    Some PT's said the average game lasts an hour.

    NS's patented No-Leave ™ system ensure all players stay in the server till the end! Heres how it works: When a player joins a server running No-Leave ™ it automatically kicks in, trapping them in the server until a map change or a crash.

    The current average game is about half an hour... but they can vary from five minutes to two hours plus.

    In 3 months of playtesting, I would say that I have voluntarily left about 3 games, TOTAL.

    You don't want to leave NS.  The battle is never boring, and never done until the last hive is down and the last alien put down; until the Infantry Portal finally falls and the installation is wiped clean of the human pestilence.  Every NS game is *epic*.

    I've definitely left S&I games in annoyance when one team or another starts spamming explosives all over the place... the only times I've left NS games were due to bugs (usually resource model imbalances) that will not be present in NS 1.0.

    NS games can last anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours, but they're usually about 30 minutes long. And like coil said, people won't leave because it never gets boring!
    An example for the cs players out there: You aren't going to leave a CS game while you try to take our 4 guys and need to defuse the bomb. There is always something going down in NS. The only time I personally find is boring is when I'm waiting to evolve.

    When you wait the Rp´s or inside the cocoon?
    If its the cocoon, you could take some magazines with you <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->

    Easy solution: Start evolving near marine patrols! <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

    Well, imagine some well armed marines accidentally stumbling over an immobile, helpless alien cocoon...

    Probably they'd sit and stare a bit, joke about it, then talk about how they should start shooting it while their commander yells at them. Then they run away screaming obscenities when an onos appears. Sound good?

    How about this... My connection is unstable as #### (I have verizon DSL) and I am contantly losing my DSL sometimes long enough that my connection to the server dies.  Is there any way to not get totally sodomised as an alien in circumstances like this?  Or do you have to start over from square one?  Similar I mean to one of SI's variable where if you join within so long after being disconnected you keep your score.  If not I'm gonna get on the phone now and hope the lazy ######## fix it before NS comes out.... I have called before and there response is, well your line seems to be working properly now.  I KNOW IT'S WORKING NOW BUT I'M NOT COMPLAINING ABOUT SOMETHING THAT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME I'M COMPLAINING ABOUT DISCONNECTS!!!!

    bacon the EXACT same thing happened to me with my qwest dsl.  I have a few suggestions that might help.  First off and the best thing is to get a cisco 678, not a cisco 675.  if you have a cisco 678 make sure you are in DMT mode.  If you still have problems make sure you have filters on.  And the last one, the one that got me, MAKE SURE THE TROUBLESHOOTERS WIRED IT RIGHT.  The dang guy came to my house and told be that he put the router on a different phone line, but only did it half way, so i kept having trouble and called and they sent out a different guy, and he was like WHO DID THIS?!?  well now i got "perfect" dsl (not really but better than it was) the end of stupid story.

    ps QWEST SUCKS
