I have had very bad problems with both my Plantronics headsets, especially with the inline volume control. The soldering seems to give way too easily leaving me with no sound. I am hoping that my USB <a href='http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000092QUM/202-8960279-1925435' target='_blank'>Logitech 20</a> headset serves a lot better
Get ANY kind of Labtec headset....I've had mine for 3 years and it's PERFECT. I'll repeat it over and over again. Plantronics makes very fragile stuff, as Bogglesteinsky said. I had 2 of them as well and both of them were used very fast. The AHS 502 is, however, quality.
Fluffy, that headset might look nice, but it's expensive because it's USB. That means it works on any computer even those without sound cards, and uses an integrated system instead of the sound card to decode/encode the data into sound or vice versa. People with a sound card don't really need stuff like that.
I have a audio 90...The sound is VERY NICE and i never use my mic so i dont know...
Yea the cord is a lil too long but its fine..also if you have speakers and your headset then get the Plantronics audio switcher which lets you swicth from your speakers to headset in a push of a button.
My suggestion to you is get the headphone and microphone separate. You can do fine with a $10 mic - but $10 headphones don't cut it. Splurge on the headphones, skimp on the mic. I find it works much better, because it is very rare that both the mic and the headphone break at the same time.

Plus $8 shipping, so you spend $20 for an amazing headset that you would pay over $60 for if it were a "popular" brand.

Labtec ones are kinda flimsy, wire-wise. Don't ever take them out of the house or put anything around them that might end up putting preasure on it.

I went through 3 pairs of those headphones in less than 6 months. The first pair lasted about 3 months before the wiring came loose and I lost sound in one side. The second pair lasted a month, and the final pair only lasted 2 weeks. Each time, the wiring went bad and I lost sound. It was terrible. I will never use those again, even borrowed.
I splurged on Plantronics DSP-500 and I love em. The sound quality is execellent, the PerSono program allows you to adjust bass and treble system wide, the mic is the best I've ever seen on a headset. I highly recommend them.

That's weird. I've had these ones for about 4 months now, I believe, and they're still working great. The volume wasn't too low on mine, either. I got an Axis 301 headset for $5 at the 7th Ave./President St. Gamestop. The single speaker or phone or whatever never even worked, so I took it off, but the mic quality is excellent - it's worth it even without the phone because you can keep the mic on your head rather than leaning forward to talk on one of those terrible low-quality desk mics.

lol i stil use my simply mic that hangs over my ear. Ive had it since 1997 and it still works just fine.
My friends have these really cheap $18.99 ones they got at Wal-Mart. It has a volume control and even though they may be really cheap and stuff they work just fine. They have been using them for some time now with out any problems.
So if you dont want to spend tons of money thats always and option too.
which is pretty good, but I stepped on it. *ashamed* It still works though, I fixed it with some tape, and the wires are intact, too bad I can't change the size anymore now :/

I have the <a href='http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=103,CONTENTID=6337' target='_blank'>Logitech Premium USB 300</a>. It's mighty nice, and you can't go wrong w/ Logitech. It was a bit expensive, but I believe it was worth it.
I already have a great pair of headphones, so I don't want to get a headset to replace them. All I want is a good recommendation for a microphone that I can use while wearing my headphones. Anyone else have a good headphones + mic combo? What microphone do you recommend?
