Combat, Basicaly Tf

<div class="IPBDescription">Play like a TF team to win!</div> It struck me quite quickly how much alike Combat and Team Fortress are. You get different classes of soldiers in each, HA/HMG or a soldier class, JP/SG or a medic etc. You each have a base to defend, and people die a lot. If you've played both you'll know what I mean (I hope).
The point of my post I suppose is to state the obvious, have an offence and defence. You could have 2 in defence and 8 in offence for instance or be more conservative and go for more in defence. The defenders would obviously get different skills, for instance they would get the upgrades like welders, mines and grenades, but have no real need for resupply. The offensive part of the team, may as well just get JP's and whatever weapon they want, then as a group go charge the hive. If you die, wait in spawn for at least another player, preferably most of the offence, and go attack again.
I can imagine most clan games being played like this, rather than the typical public game of all charge into the middle and blow **** up <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::lerk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/lerk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='lerk.gif' /><!--endemo--> , or camp marine spawn until all aliens go <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif' /><!--endemo--> and own your CC... here's hoping at least, as public combat is lame atm...

yea NS combat does have some TF too it...

but the flashing icon
"excuse me i am in need of medical attention"
and something like

would be lovely ^_^
( now you have to shout for like 30 times before some marine whith a welder is even looking at you... )
