If Your Client.dll Differs From The Server's.

<div class="IPBDescription">READ ME GODDAMNIT client.DLL client.DLL</div> If you get the message "Your client.dll differs from the server's" you are trying to connect to a server that is running a different version of NS to the one you have installed.

<b>You must update to the latest version to play.</b>

I'm sick to hell of people asking the same goddamned question over and over after it has been asked and answered innumerable times.

Thank you.

    Another thought would be the install writers using the registry during the beta NS install and placing the path to where NS is actually located. The update from beta 1 to beta 2 makes you do a bit of guessing as to where to let it update. If they then pulled proper path information from the system registry, it could then prompt you with the proper path, instead of one that may be a level too low in the directory.

    My first try was wrong when I upgraded from beta 1 to 2. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Yeah. Unplug your computer. You're probably trying to connect to a server running an OLDER version of NS than you have.

    [EDIT] I don't mean to sound rude in that.

    1- You're trying to join an older server.
    2- You're not paying attention, there's a new beta already.
    3- Your ns install is borken.
    4- Your steam is flawed.

    If it isn't anyone of these 4, then come back. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Did you stop to check that the server you are trying to connect to is an older version of NS? It gets me everytime, but it's easy to catch on to.
