Just wondering, exactly how do you become a veteran?

Be a part of a clan that gets recognized as Veteran. But just to let you know- its not worth it. There are a bajillion Vets, and the only reason you should be in a clan is if you want to actually play competitively.

A couple months ago, I was commanding a game of 2.01 with a bunch of friends that I play with on a regular date. We were playing a very hard mouth clan, who said that we were noobs. Well, 2 hours later, we had their 3rd hive down; which was welded by 8 marines :-).

They never came into that server again...

Imo its still a sad thing that all kinds of clans have become vets, some just don't deserve it.
On the other hand, some of them do.

If you are a die-hard Natural selection fan, show flayra and everybody your appreciation by donating to the constellation.

The vast majority of NS teams play the game just for a laugh so you won't have any problems finding one.

The icon means nothing #1... it's just that, an icon, and you get it from joining a clan that has achived veteran status.

Like #2 said, play in a clan if you're looking for something challenging and something different, and more importantly, IF YOU REALLY WANT TO PLAY in a clan. I used to, and it's not for everyone, don't go through all the trouble and stress just for a small, yellow medal next to your gaming handle in Natural Selection.

My defining moment in NS:
Dodging a 3 ft long tusk of an Onos and sticking him with my 8 inch knife!!!
I was uncontrollably "w00t"ing for the next 5 minutes!!
