Go back packing mate, I know it sounds qliche but it a really inexpensive way to get around and see stuff. If you travel around Europe you don't need a work permit (you live in the UK yeh?) so you can get a job anywhere just with your passport and stuff. Back packing hostels are dead cheap and it's a good way to meet new people and kinda forget about home. Look in to it properly as I don't know the details but I can say for sure the most expensive part is the journey to your first destination which if you fly Ryan Air will be really cheap anyways.
Hope this has intrested you and maby given you another option, but seriously mate getting away for a few months does WONDERS for your mental state trust me.
PM me if you wanna talk about this <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Take a coin, make sure it has a head and a tail. Heads you go left, tails you go right. Hopefully you aren't on a corner or one of them puts you in front of traffic.
Walk to a sign post that tells you there are places out there somewhere in some directions. Heads or tail it and use that to get away.
I did it once and ended up it the most amazing places. I hitched a lift regularly when large spaces stretched before me, the most important part is try to enjoy yourself or at least look at the world. Not just open eyes look but a real look that sees the beauty in the flower, the sunset, the lad or lass that went by. The flash car, or whatever is around you. There is beauty everywhere, look and you will see it.
Take your time, that to me now is very important.
A friend came up with this twist, when you get to a new town, look at a newspaper or book for a topic, go to the library and read a little or a lot up to you, then when you hitch again, if you do (here in Australia we have long distances sometimes between towns), so you steer the discussion to the new topic.
Amazing what you learn and the knowledge you gain. I hope this is some help.

^^
that seems to be the way to go, be sure to keep a cell phone or some emergency money so you can cover your back
200 quid should buy you at least one month on pretty much any train crossing Western Europe. Add to this the 'jobbing' option, and you should be able to get out and your head free. Good luck on both.
erm... the guy who pm'd me... thx for that... i hit delete cos im a retard.. but yeah.. sorry dont rememebr the name... its teh guy with the lil streetfightery dude firing a fireball..
meh :/ with backpacking.. im worried.. cos i have no sense of direction.. and generally used to my home comforts.

Up north as in Scotland?
<_<
>_>
I have nothing to say...
But no matter what you do, I'll be praying for you man. Sounds like you've had it rough. Good luck, Godspeed, and let the angels themselves protect you.
edit: And by the way: If your used to your comforts, then the backpacking is perfect: You'll lose that "I need a bed" thing, and learn what living simply and complexly is all about. And as I said before: I'll be praying for you no matter what man.
Interpretation:
"When my friend accidentally let his GF off his motorbike, she died, and my friend became so saddened and depressed after that he went 140 into a wall right after that."
With what he is going through he will just shoot himself when he gets the chance.
Everybody has different approaches with this kind of chet. Usually music does it for me or blowing some heads off in Ns or hoppin in my car and street racing.
Dude... owned...? It was an accident, more like dead

I know Testament...so far he hasn't began his reign of terror yet on this OTF. :O
Should be graced by what he said to tell you the truth haha.
Little disrespectful doncha think?
Moq, backpacking sounds like a great way to chill out. Just hitchike around the UK for a few months, should be fun.

Maybe to others. Death is pretty much meaningless to me. I ignore it and go on.
To Para: What reigns of terror?! ...Ignore all the Firearms stuff.
@gentOrange.
I wouldn't know what to do. I'll just ask friends to take me in. The trip would be fun... other than that, I don't know man. Sorry.

i have Duanes syndorme <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> i passed my medical like the fitness bit.. passed a test to get me into a fasttrack officer training college in yorkshire and then got rejected cos of a slight eyesight defect :s
so yeah been there done that
and yes testament is right... he had to slam brake and turned to the side a lil.. and she went flying off...
and the 'owned' part thats quite disrespectful to a dead man... but if thats how u choose to d **** im too weak to be arsed to argue..
so it looks like packin a bag and just goin is the best thing for me to do right now.
Yeah I really don't understand this. These forums tended to be very respectful when someone would post something personal, and I got the sense that we really helped a few people. Now we're seeing "owned" and "Merry Christmas". That is just flat out inappropriate. Learn some respect or dont bother to post.
Its like being a "Part-Time" Soldier! And the entry requirements are a little more relaxed AFAIK.
