Scan In Combat

I have a few times got scan as one of my upgrades in combat, it works when you first upgrade to it. My question is what causes future scanner sweeps ? It doesnt seem to work like cat packs where you get a frag and it works.

I think it's when a cloaked alien comes into your range. No idea what the range is, though.

Once a cloakin alien comes so close to you, the scan will do sweep again. Once the scan is over, about half a second later it scans again.

Side Note: Who is that person on the right picture in your sig? I have seen that guy alot latly and I dont know who he is.

it used to be if the cloaked alien was in your fov, but now the range is the range of the scan

I dont believe the scan will always happen. I think it is a percentage chance every second or so that it will scan if theres a cloaker around.

I have always had it scanned when I was near an alien cloaked.
