    I have screenshots. Only problem is I have Paint Shop Pro, I don't know how to gamma correct screenshots. Otherwise they look poop. Load it up lazy!

    Not to put you down, but there's not a lot of geometry in the map. Lots of squares. Pretty much every room is a square with different colored lights. I like the design but it's too blocky.

    Fourth. Should have version 2 out within 7 days. New RR, themed, one area is going to be totally remade. Updated less "blocky" geometry. Possibly a small but nice level-over-level layout change.

    The name is a tad Positive, unless it has a specific link to the story etc.

    I agree, rename it co_bloodbath and you got yurself a winner son! j/k

    Also, my map Ns_Scout takes a "boxier" approach with few curved rooms on purpose, is this really that unnappealing to everyone? If so then I've got some work to be doin'!

    Good lookin' map Thursday, I very much likes it. Just polish it up a bit.

    lol DarkATi, no one likes boxy rooms unless they have some other redeeming feature, like it's in the middle of a map and you want to keep r_speeds down, or it features some great particle and lighting effects, or there's porn decaled on the walls.

    But no male homosexual or inter-species, please. Just lesbians and straight people.

    But it's a style! Oh just look at my screenies on the second page and comment, I don't know. It's not like a nub box of course, it's simply square because I'm using the Rock_Wall texture set. It's a style choice and I like it personally. Very different. Hope I'm not alone here.

    It's a style allright, a bad style. No offence is intended here, but square rooms, come on man you can try harder than that. And using the rock texture as an excuse isn't going to help you. If Square isn't a nub box Then... what is it? I'm not having a go at you, just stating an opinion.

    Haven't you heard? Squares and blocks are like the new black!

    Ok, I started this long before v3.0g Public was released, back when it was announced in 2.1. I only really finished up on it until now. It wasn't much of a good map, although it allowed me to brush up on particle system and gameplay skills. Its pretty fun to play (as long a you are marine).

    You want Elegance? Don't say I haven't tried to make these screenshots look elegant! (Also in the 'post your screenshots' thread.
    I have started a second version of elegance, because the first one was just plain crap and boring (public opinoin).

    That's pretty...busy. It might be hard to make out any alien spawn camping around there. The textures are nice, but they are way way too big. At first I didn't even spot the CC because I was expecting that to be a tiny little anteroom! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> Having the readouts suspended off the ground like that is illogical (how would anyone reach them?). A lot of the textures just end with a coridoor or simiar, so try to have some borders around them too (door frames etc.). In short, what you've got there is very pretty, but gives the illusion of being far smaller than it really is and could get confusing to navigate around. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I know what Varsity is talking about, the CC was hidden amongst the frantic texture placement.
    I think the busyness works, because thats what I would expect alot of Space stations to look like. The CC still looks about the size of an ant, stood on 45 times by a rather large leather boot.

    Seriously though Thursday- it does look good. I like the lighting on it for a marine start. Anything else i'd say it too much light, but ms shouldn't have little shadows for skulks. The only thing I would suggest is trying to find a way to get those ladders out of there. Ladders are usually hell on marines as they very very quickly shorten your field of view. Marines are all about distance between them and the aliens, make the ladder into some stairs if possible, maybe even a little platform connecting where the player is in pic 2 with the hallway that's visible in that picture.

    The ladder may cause some problem, but to try and even marines out that will be the quickest route from marine spawn to the hive.
