<div class="IPBDescription">Map pack #1 - marine mission</div>I ma starting a map pack, anyone who has finished or would wish to have their map futured in a map pack to be released by Xmas (maybe the end of this month is more likely if NS is out). It may or may not include my own map ns_vivid. I would love it if ns_lost joined the map pack,5-8 maps will be picked. So please e-mail me with atleast "5" pics shopwing the following...

1) 1 Marine Spawn Shot (Commander Room Is Always Worth it)
2) 1 Hallway shots
3) 2 Alien Hive
4) Another screenshot of your choice

    And I don't want to see any derogatory posts about the concept of map packs - they are how communities grow, and how mappers get good enough to churn out official levels.

    When it works <a href="http://www.planethalflife.com/nsworld/Main.ASP" target="_blank">NS World</a> makes it really easy to find custom NS maps to download, including screenshots, version control and peer review.

    I have been tempted to do the map pack thing my self.  Angel would you be interested in joining forces with NS World to organize community map packs?

    Sure Chrome count me in, I helped in the Custom UK2 Map packs, I want to get more involved on this one than the last. (Psst, you got msn messenger? If so contact me seen as my profile should show me address for it) Also I am getting together some custom textures over the next few weeks, as I am moving house shortly I wont be back to the commuinnity fully for a while, it will all be school comps. So just before I go I will post a 15-30meg wad for your enjoyment from different authors.

    I'll definitely be looking forward to releasing my map in a map pack, but I think I'll worry about that when I'm a lot closer to completion than I am now (under 25%).  Right now, I should be worrying about what's going to be in my next room more than anything else.

    I´ll wait till mappack #2... I need to play ns to know how to make a good layout withouth unbalancing the game, graphics and atmosphere isn´t everything you know =)

    you can count ns_turgid in the mix, bit i would like very much to playtest the map before deeming it done and ready for public. its not that i hate progress, but i think a later deadline (min 1 month after release) would be a good idea so that all maps can be playtested first.
