First game I'm getting after I clear my backlog.

My backlog consists of Grim Fandango, Escape from Monkey Island, Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time, Gitaroo Man, Viewtiful Joe, PSO Ep1&2, Metroid Fusion, Broken Sword 1 & 2 (then 3 at a later date) and Advance Wars.

    It's such a chore, I tell you.

yeah, it's pretty good. Especially that last sword.

But seriously, who the hell would put some of these rooms into their castle/palace ? They just don't make sense by any stretch of the imagination.

but it's by far the COOLEST (while not the most practical) palace, ever.

But still, getting so many great reviews from so many websites has to make a game at least kind of good.

Oh and BizZy | 9mm Messiah I'll give you your 100$ when you can prove to me that you can beat me in a game of ns.

the first time i played through i didnt know i could block, just rolled around, dodged, bounced off walls and slashed.

second time through, using blocking, i died more because i didnt get out of the way of multiple attackers!

and those blue guys with double sided halbreds are so annoying that i cant jump over their heads!

no, no, back on topic. prince of persia ROCKS. this game is the best, like, since xcom:ufo defense.

and it runs perectly with settings maxed (minus shadowing which i dont like anyway) on a geforce 3. oh emm eff gee!

Oh there was, a while back. But I forgive you cause you're no liar; PoP is indeed a divine game.
Have fun playing, and flint: snap that game up ASAP.

flint, if you're planning on getting PSO, wait until ep III because I think it comes with the other 2 eps included =P

    I'd get prince of persia but... I dunno... I don't like desert settings ^^;

You never really set foot in the desert, just view it from afar. And, for a game, it looks luscious.
You're missing out on a masterpiece for something so trivial as topography! Buy it!

Oh, I already have PSOep1&2 - I just have to play it more. Episode 2 Challenge mode, guy!

And Episode 3 is the new card system, it doesn't include the Ep1&2 gameplay style at all, much less the original game. Any <i>true</i> fan would know that. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Sands of Time is by far one of my all-time favourite adventure games, hell, I think I forced my opinion of it on Zig. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

I bought it last saturday, and absolutely love it. The graphics are great (and not half as sandy as the title might suggest, Gem), especially the animations are a feast for the eye, the jumping puzzles are challenging but not impossible, the Sands of Time are an absolutely cool gameplay element, the story is, while 'graced' with an all-too simple plot, fun due to the constant meddling between Fatah and the Prince (both dubbed outstandingly); it's just simply fun, in the same way Max Payne 2 was fun.
Short lived? Maybe, but it manages to greatly entertain for that time.

It's worth one or two play-throughs, and it really is a great game. Ubi did good with this. lol, well after ep II I've not been keeping up much... sure the new forums and seats and lobbies are super cool but the actual EPII was pretty dire thanks to the abysmal VR training levels. The main redeeming qualities were the upgraded graphics, the extension of the story, and the 2 last bosses (olga falz and the hipogriff who i can never remember the proper name of). I guess I'd be more impressed if nintendo had bothered to actually release either the modem or BBA for the Gamecube in the UK ~rolls eyes~

I DO know, however, that EPIII players can still hang in the same lobbies as the EPI&II-ers =3

I'd advise taking Metroid Fusion off your list... it's a decent game and all, and the plot is verry interesting and unique for a Metroid game, but the gameplay is basically identical to Super Metroid, no innovations there...

to get back on topic, you ppl have convinced me that the next 2 games I need are PoP and KotOR :>

Personally i thought it was a mediocre Tomb-Raider-em-up, with nothing but fancy shader effects to elevate it above the steaming piles of playstation-class turd that fills, and will continue to fill the market untill crossplatform console->PC development becomes illegal.

Wait, what am i saying. 99% of pure-PC projects still aren't worth the production costs of the plastic cases they're packaged in. I guess we're all just screwed.

Ontop of that, the damn "Copyright protected" CD didn't like my DVD drive, forcing me to turn to less-than-legal means of getting the thing to install. Hooo-freaking-ray

3 hours worth of fiddling and the greatest challenges i'm rewarded with, barring getting the software to work in the first place, were trial and error pre-scripted jumping "puzzles" and a control system which, when being considered for implimentation, scored points on the basis of it being paraplegic-friendly.

When clearing an area of the game requires a series of direction and button commands that, without using short form, can be written in full on the palm of your hand, you may as well just be playing Dragon's Lair for the 3DO.

And now i'm going to get some coffee.
