Well, with all my textures lost (I decided to just null everything and start over texture-wise because of BSE.) I have decided to focus on the layout more. I usually just "wing it" but since I'm putting all this effort into Scout I thought I might as well get some layout opinions.
P.S. If the room isn't "there" I just pointed to where it would be / is going to be.

2. BSE is not caused by Leaf Saw Into Leaf or a myriad of other errors, it is a texture error plain and simple. I am currently working on correcting those other errors however.
3. It isn't easy to fix in this case, I've already spent enough time looking for the cause of BSE. If you want me to PM you a download link to a .map file and let you have a go at fixing it then be my guest.
4. Radient... what? I don't use Radient, I use Hammer.
EDIT* I really do appreciate everyone helping me salvage my map. I am just a very frustrated person right now. I have null'd everything and I am going to begin working on first fixing my compile errors, and second, retexturing it. Once again, thanks for all your help and support. But I've looked at the map file and I see no badly scaled textures anywhere. I've tried aligning them to "Face" "World" etc. to no avail. Anyway, Scout was pretty high on the r_speeds already (About 800 in peak areas.) So nulling every face and reworking the textures from scratch will hopefully reduce my r_speeds a little too.

"Us Nancy Guys." Laff laff.
Yes, Wolf uses Radient, not I. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
But seriously, comments on the layout anyone?

I had this problem when I was just playing with Hammer. I found the error occurs when you compile a map with any use of NULL, and somehow the ZHLT.wad doesn't get included at compile time, the faces are deleted but the textures don't exist either. It just throws it all off somehow. Copy ZHLT.was into your map's own, and recompile, see what happens <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Interesting layout if my deductions are correct. (I'm also assuming vents are to be added later...) But, I see one strategy being used on this map if that's the case. Take over the choke point. Whoever controls it wins. But if there is sufficient res on the marine side... this could just work... Would need serious playtesting. Huh. I go bed now.
<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->You have too many different kinds of light shining on a face(patch) of a brush: either differently named switchable lights, or flickering or strobing lights, or lights with a custom appearance. You need to remove some of these lights in the problem area (probably where you have the most such lighting), or combine the lights' properties into the same style. You can have more than one light shine in an area, but 3 styles maximum; but the lights should be the same light type/custom appearance/name(if any) if possible. The new switchable texture lights count as one dynamic style if they are all the same type/custom appearance/name.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I had this problem once, and the map wouldn't run (can't remember the runtime error HL gave me...). But fixing this stuff is up to you.
Try the wad fix, I am 99% sure this will be your cure Dark <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo-->
The buttons (func_buttons) don't give light, and if you remove their "style" with SmartEdit off, it can help to get away from the error, for example.
Sorry for double post... Lag... could a mod delete
EDIT: Spelling. (I typed "when" instead of "win" haha, I need sleep!)
