I've been working on this map very little, but I have done some progress, since the layout is going to have the "8" shape (MS -> two rooms -> one room (chokepoint) -> two rooms -> hive) and I have already 3 rooms done the map will be finished soon I guess (and with soon I mean, much less than phobia, heh).

I'll be posting on this thread all the updates and new pics of the map, so I don't have to do 10 threads for a single map.

    Right, it is too clean, but it does not matter. To be honest, Eclipse is too clean cut with lighting, but what makes it such a special map is it has a theme, sava has a theme. No matter how clean the lighting is, a good layout and good bit of architechture with a theme will make it look nice. Although I've seen about 7 versions of that first screenshot, it all looks like good stuff

    I meants its not my taste/style... I tend to lean more towards Nothing... But I do like the way this one looks...

    looking good. I like how you pick up the structures of the textures and transform it into architecture. The lighting is very well done, too. Looking forward to see more.

    yeah, I like the clean looking map style.
    It kinda gives the player a sense of fake security..which is always good.
    You see alot maps that are plagued to the death with rubbish infestation..that looks..well...pap.
    This looks great, really emphasising the man-made or industrial part of NS.

    I think you should add a ceiling, put some detail on the walls and perhaps a particle system or two...

    The top part on the second pic looks a bit dark, but there isn't too much up there, and it will be useful for ambushes and all that, I may make it brighter though.

    I've done 45% of the map right now, considering I just have to do two rooms, the hive and all the corridors and vents.

    As much as I dislike the yellgray series, that is undoubtedly pwn. I commend you greatly on those lighting styles.

    The use of yellow hues, and textures make this map appear that it might be the most interesting co_ map yet. Cannot wait to try it out when it goes public.

    That map is totally different and a step above most other maps I've seen. That architecture is the closest thing to art that Ive come across in a long time. Great Job.

    Nice Mendasp. Lovely new area, looks like a good place for jetpackers. Finally a nice map I can whack a JP on my back and take marines up for a lesson of flying.

    Which concept did nothing use? I really like Feng's work and I would like to use a concept or two from there. Did you ask permission to use it or did you just go ahead and map it?

    I wasn't sure if levels for ns were still considered personal projects in the way he said in the FAQ since most levels are made with the plan to release it for public consumption.
