Hi this is my 1st post on the NS forums. I have been playin NS since the 1.04 days, actually i started playing during spring break of last year to be exact. I cant tell ya how much fun this game is, i can play this game till im tired. I am regular over at redphive.org NS 2 servers. I have gotten to known all the regulars there. Most of them r constellation or vet members so i dont see them anymore. I stopped playin NS prolly bout 3 months ago or so, because of the steam issues an all the regs left, went to other servers or betatesting NS 3.0. Oddly enough, i actually went to the post office an sent $20 in the mail so i could become one an become a betatester <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> Anyway ive finally decided to stop bein lazy an sent the $20 in the mail, and start postin on these forums.

    it should take bout 3 days for the $20 to get there, i dont have a credit card, im 18 <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> An signing up for paypal, an adding funds would take longer then it would to just send it in the mail, so thats what i did. Ill give flayra an email tellin him that i sent the money an should be there by monday or tuesday. I live out in California BTW, an hes in Vermont.

    So how is NS 3.0 Anyway, ive read a lot of posts sayin its a mess, meanin unbalanced, bugs, etc. Like when u play on an NS 3.0 server, is it through steam im assumin? Im also assumin the servers are pass protected or only allow constellation or vet members in. Just wanna kno how that is all setup.

    You will gain access to the constellation forum where all is explained. Until then, 3.0 is still in playtesting, and therefore there are bugs, and sometimes it's a mess. but mostly it's fun, and I'm sure you will like it. 3.0 is also solely on Steam, so you will have to get that in order to playtest 3.0. The servers aren't protected by password, but by only allowing people on 'the list' so you can't get in by having the correct files, you also need a constellation, veteran or playtester membership.

    I believe the only way to play 3.0 will be on Steam, as WON will be nonexistant (hopefully) by then, and creating a WON version wouldn't be necessary. The servers are protected by your SteamID, I'm guessing, because that is what you submit to become a Constellation member. I believe it checks your ID, sees whether you are a Constellation member or not, and if you are, you can play. However, if you aren't, you will still be able to join but you can't join a team. Or so I'm led to believe.

    I've been debating the move to constallation, as I've had a lot of fun, and I was to playtest, but $25CAD is a bit steep for a beta :/. Eh, eventually, I might pay just because NS is the only mod I play.
