- The aliens have four chambers.
o Offense Chamber - Shoots at neaby enemies.
o Defense Chamber - Heals nearby Kharaa Aliens and Structures.
o Movement Chamber - Makes nearby Kharaa's energy regenerate faster and teleports you to built hives when you press the USE key on them.
o Sensory Chamber - Cloaks nearby Kharaa Aliens and Structures.
I hope this answers you question. And more queries just post.
The three main chambers (ie, all BUT oc,) give acces to new abilties for the aliens. These are shown on your Right-click menu. Each chamber provides 3 upgrades, but you may only use one per chamber.
You loose the upgrade when you die, and may pick a new one.

Just so that doesn't get confusing, when X_Stickman says built or not, he means It is being built or dropped but has yet to be finished. Also, they must attack the hive itself, not just the hive room.
You can still use the MC, but most of the time it seems to only send you between two hives, and not all three. (Unless one is under attacked, it will move you to that hive everytime.
This is because it teleports you to the farthest active hive.
Oh yeh if you hadnt noticed the sensory chambers cloaking field is strong enuff you can move full speed through it without decloaking.

I though this was removed. ?
Sensory Chambers do not parasite.
O Defense Chamber
- Regeneration: heals you a certain ammount every two seconds, with more healing per level
- Carapace: Increases the ammount of armor you have, by 1/3 for each level.
- Redemption: You have a chance of being pulled back to a hive when near death, thus being saved. The chance this happens increases with your level.
O Movement Chamber
- Celerity: You run/walk faster with each level of the upgrade
- Silence: Your attacks and footstep noises are quieter at lvl 1 & 2, and you are silent at lvl 3.
- Adrenaline: The rate you gain energy is increased by 1/3rd for each level of Adrenaline.
O Sensory Chamber
- Cloaking: You become partially invisible to the enemy when walking, totally invisible when standing still. You cloak faster at higher levels.
- Scent of Fear: All enemies in a certain range of you show up as red rings on your hivesight. Higer levels of SoF increase the range
- Pheremones: This leaves a trail behind marines whenever they walk. It is a poor upgrade though, and it's getting replaced with:
- Focus: You get a damage boost for every attack, with a slightly reduced rate of fire. The current stats are: 25% reduction in RoF, with a 1/3rd boost in damage per level.

Ahh. Sorry about that. I read that in the (outdated) manual a long time ago... They really should update that. (I was really confused after reading the manual when playing my first game)
