1. keep in mind it is a REALISM mod. this means:
- Hud. keep it out of the discussion, irl you don't have a hud and same here. one might say you know how much clips you have or if your hit but keep in mind the following:

- you have 4 clips. you never know how many bullets you have.
2. Keep in mind this is a TACTICAL mod. This means:
- the speed will be slow. very slow some might say but appropriately so.
Personally i love it, sure it has bugs, somewhat ugly gfx and unfinished animations but the gameplay is very fun!

The animated thingies are well... not really good atm, that that can be improved.
And for the speed of the game. Since when does it have to be ++ to be a good game?
Try it, you will either hate it or love it, there doesn't seem much of an imbetween. I personally love it!
Ahh but have you noticed the Prone Reload animation yet?? VERY NICE, and I bet it's a sample of what's to come.
For clips, you have just :
-full clips: "number"
-used clips: "number" (when you reload before end of clip)
You have clips instead of ammo (or mags for those who are picky for this type of thing) and reloading doesn't just put more ammo, it changes to another clip. I'm not sure if that's how it works currently

before you all **** about the mod more, let me quote the devs on some things here:

1 year. Same time NS took, and this is a completely amateur team, w/ very little experience making games. their original modeler HAD NEVER MODELED BEFORE! Imagine -- learning how to make a game, and coming up with this game, in ONE YEAR. and TBH, it's not a bad game really.

Spend some time playing the game, get used to how it works etc. I'm surprised how many people **** about a mod they've played for 2 days (another reason why one should never listen to amateur reviews).
My final word on the mod is: the gameplay mechanics are great, but graphically, and programmaticaly (is that a word?) it's "UGH." the animations need to be programmed in, bugs fixed, models redone (this is being worked on, yes, ALL the models will be redone), and general refinement. Remember: this is a beta (even if it doesn't say so), and there will be problems. It was probably a poor decision to make the beta public, but 4 years of waiting is a long time. They felt pressured to release it ASAP.

Its supposed to be "The Most Realistic Half-Life Mod Ever", and from what I can tell, even borrowed one thing from Call of Duty- ADS mode(or where you use the iron sights).
Looks pretty nice. I'm playing now.

bugs, graphical problems (animations) and models - simply because when they were made a few years ago they were teh pwnage. i'm about 80% certain they'll be redone.
but gameplay wise. god damn it owns.

I dont like being told to go back to CS after pointing out certain facts. Screw them.
Where the hell do you get off saying they have bad weapon modelling? Its some of the best I've seen, period, in a long, LONG time, all of it on par with BrigadierWolf's stuff, and sure as hell better than the modelling NS has. While I like the NS pistol more, I know downright that they had it much harder, as well as did a better job than any other mod I've seen in the wep model department.
On the other hand, I'm really really meh'd by the models and animations. From the videos they had released, I was hoping the animations would have been better than this. Also, I wish they made movement just a tad bit more faster. I like the gameplay the speed promotes and all.. but gawd it is slow. Also, wish there's more immersive sounds. Like death screams or heavy breathing when your stamina runs out. If the dev team would improve HI jusssst a little bit more, I'd be playing it a lot more.
Iron sights are just a hassle, they don't make me feel like I'm aiming a gun. Nothing will ever make me feel like I'm aiming a gun while I'm sitting at my computer. That is, until we all have VR systems for computers and can do whatever we want with them.
Another thing that miffed me was the horrendously slow speed. I understand that most video games are a bit overexaggerated in their speed, but jesus christ in a handbasket, do all Counter-Terrorists move at the speed of my grandpa? I think they overdid the speed reduction of the player.
That's just how I feel though, and I'm not much for simulation or realism games at all, unless they're going to at least allow me to have a little fun by stretching the limits of reality, just like CS does. Or NFS:Underground, etc, blah blah. This is all irrelevant anyway, because when I don't like a game, I usually just stop playing it, as opposed to bitching on the forums about it like this.
