    No, like I said iB is crappy. Since this has a good amount of people, I'd say go to vBulletin. More stable, easier to manage, and FASTER.

    Very good forums, and with vB3 coming out soon <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->.. and why do you say if you have less then 10k, I know plenty of sites that have 15k+ (the db is huge.. yes and they have a ownage host), but why would that cause a problem here?

    Admittely our experience is from an outdated version, but it literally lagged to hell and back on the same set of servers we use today, with twice the traffic.
    I'd also point out that restructuring the whole of our user information is just too much work, so I fear we're stuck with IB.

    No, it's pretty hard, because you have to do a bunch of upgrade crap by hand, especially from an even older version like 1.1.2...     iB is great -- but they never are up-to-date here. The forum administrator needs to take a bit more time to keep things working.

    I run several iB's myself and understand the amount of work for upgrading--no reason it shouldn't be done.

    If you want to view a nice board, look at evercrest's board. The administrator has made so many changes to the code there, he could ALMOST package it as a brand new forum system.
