<div class="IPBDescription">Aged 75..</div> from a long cancer battle over 2 years. A long standing television personality in Britain he was loved and respected by young and old. Our yonger forum users may rember him from the <a href='http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0262147/' target='_blank'>Aaaagh! It's the Mr Hell Show</a> and has also made appearences in South Park and The Simpsons. His career spanned decades and he has achived what many television personalities can only dream of till the day they die.

He will be sorely missed.

    I've heard of the Mr. Hell show, and I watch South Park regularly, and SP requires true celebrity-status, as well as "Just plain cool" status.     Bob Monkhouse was great, amazing all round entertainer and a genuinely funny guy. If we had more British celebs like him around these days instead of idiots like David Beckham and his plastic wife maybe our wee island would be a bit better off.

    I have to admit i was never a huge fan of Bob Monkhouse, but i agree that he was one of those fantastic all-round entertainers that we just don't have any more, and he will be missed by thousands.
